I have a PSC 2l10 model. I just changed a black ink cartridge and cannot make it print. It goes through the motions and spits out a blank page. The color cartridge prints the yellow for the allignment, but no black. I took the cartridge out and put it back numerous times and nothing. No, the tape was not left on. The cartridge seems seated in the holder. I went through the steps you folks give under HP custome support, but - no change. The printer appears on and in ready condition on my computer. So, I opened another fresh ink cartridge and get the same results. I am, of course, running against the clock on a large copying project. It was working just fine when the old ink cartridge went empty. Can you help, please?

- leanbicycler: I do not refill my cartridges, and that was never mentioned in my email. I purchase Office Depot brand HP56 cartridges. I do not accept your answer. samanamberAug 18, 2008
- I do not refill my cartridges. I purchase Office Depot HP 56 black ink cartridges. I opened another package of black ink cartridge and tried it because the first one might have been faulty. I don't think both cartridges could be faulty. I have used Office Depot ink cartridges for many years, now. I need some more help to get this going. I don't accept this suggestion.Aug 18, 2008
- I have tried to press the Setup button until Maintenance appears. However, it always says busy. I do not use refill cartridge kits. Thus, I don't have the tools that come with it.Aug 18, 2008
- I need another answer. The first two did not do the job.Aug 19, 2008
- To kakee: I don't find a "calibration test" listed in the index of the printer manual. The manual indicates to clean the print cartridges press "Setup" until Maintenance appears, and then press "Enter". As I said before, when I press Setup, I keep getting a "Busy" message. I cannot even get to Maintenance. I think someone should check the PSC 2110 manual to see what I have to work with. I certainly hope no one has charged my card yet because I have not had any satisfaction and I don't mean to be still about it. SamanamberAug 19, 2008
- kakee, you're going to have to tell me how to do a calibration test. I cannot find anything like that in the index of my owner's manual. I'll need you to spell it out for me. samanamberAug 19, 2008
- So far I've been told that I refill my print cartridges (I do not). I've been asked to clean my print head ( near as I can tell I do not have one). Can some one of the "experts" please check the manual for a PSC 2100 and give me a more accurate assist? I'm beginning to be sorry I chose the Preference Program. I have missed my deadline and the only thing I have to show for my contact with you all is a lot of "FixYa" emails that don't help, and my growing irritation. You had better not have charged my card yet because your "expert" assistance so far has been sadly lacking. samanamberAug 22, 2008
- To geemarie: Sorry to take to long to test your suggestion. I had Monday to work on the printer... So, I followed your instructions. We've had a "half" of a success, you and me. I get the lower half of black printed lines when it comes time to align the printer. So, I thought I'd try to print an email. It processes just fine up to where I press okay to print. Then the frame comes up to prepare to send a FAX! I've tried several other things to print to see if I could get a whole font print. Always it comes up to send a FAX. Obviously something in the program load took a left turn. So, geemarie, you haven't failed me yet - what do we do next? samanamber
