The oven on my Whirlpool cooking stove Model #SF367LEKQ, serial #RM1518684 does not work. Boiler works but not the oven. Oven comes on for a few minutes and then goes off.

This is what the problem other technicians thought it was. They were recommended by Sears. After checking for loose connections, charging me $150.00, and refusing to make good on the labor warranty the oven still does not work.

You do not know if it is a lose connection, that is just an easy diagnosys from somebody that did not want to waste much time on the problem.
When Oven is not heating check:
Wirings and connections.
Heating element
Knob control.
You need to test parts and wiring with a multimeter.

What's wrong and how do I fix it?

The circuit breaker outside in the power panel for the stove has a bad breaker. It will be two breakers with their handles joined together by a pin so if one tripe it takes the other so 220 V is no longer present. When one, but not the other trips you only have 110 V. That's why the lights and clock still work but no heating elements.

Hi - It will seem the electronics PCB is on the way out - it should be replaceable at what cost I cannot be sure. The best option would perhaps be to upload the actual model of the oven and its serial number & perhaps I can check on the F & P database if the parts are readily available.

If you can provide the details and country of abode I will see what I can do for you in regards to parts.

Oven not heating and oven control lights not working

Check if the oven is in AUTO cook mode. It should be in MANUAL cook mode , check if it has a MANUAL mode button. Sometimes resetting the clock will put it back into MANUAL mode.

Whirlpool Electric Range - Setting Timer Stove says door

It may be that the door interlock is faulty.

It will not turn on if it thinks the door is open. It will probably work fine if in manual mode - as this is not used.

If out of warranty, check the door interlock for anything broken off, and with a meter to ensure correct operation.

If this is ok, check cabling back to controller. This board may need repair/ replacement if faulty.

Check the oven sensor it may be the problem. Also check the lock assembly. When in self clean does your bake come on too? It should come on with the broiler.

Oven beeping f1 and f3

Here are the error codes for your range:

F1 Circuit board defective Replace control board F2 1. The oven temp has risen above 665F and the door is not locked or
2. The temp has risen above 965F with the door locked 1. Check oven temp in mode that failure occurred. Replace EOC (Electronic Oven Control) if above limits
2. Check 8-pin connector. Check and replace oven temperature sensor if necessary F3 Oven temperature sensor is open (above 3000 ohms) Check resistance of oven temperature sensor, check for open wiring between oven temperature sensor and control F4 Oven temperature sensor is shorted (below 500 ohms) Check resistance of oven temperature sensor, check for shorted wiring between oven temperature sensor and control F5 Internal watchdog circuit has detected a failure Defective EOC (Electronic Oven Control) F6 Shorted buttons Check push buttons and dome switches on control F8 Logic interrupted (lock motor switch sequence) Check door lock switches and wiring

Most likely problem is the oven temp. sensor. Should check around 1100 ohms at room temp. I would replace that first because it is the easiest and cheaper than an oven control.
