Question about NEC Lands Phones
SOURCE: We have a 92573 NEC
Hi please find above a link for your user manual. This is about the best I can do.
Try removing the phone from wall & telephone jack, wait say 5 mins, now reconnect it all back up.
Then using the manual and working from step ONE.. work through the setup steps FROM THE BEGINNING, I know it's a pain but...just do it..lol.. and I am sure you will prevail, usually it is a simple wrong or miss-step that can muck things up... so just carefully and slowly work through the settings and hopefully you will prevail
However IF after you have done so, and you are sure that you are right in what you have done, then you may indeed have a faulty instrument, of course the ONLY way to eliminate this is by substitution, with a "Known good" unit.and try that one in it's place.
But often before I consign things to the "bin" I will often get an offsider to do exactly what i have done, IE: Re-setup the device, sometimes, they will interpret things differently and may see a misstep or mistake, or step that has been made, that one may have missed, remember the object is to get it all going again, and it doesn't matter how it gets fixed.
