I got a brand new as a gift. On the box is written US & Canada maps.
The Canada map is missing. Is there any way to upload the Canada maps?
Called Tech Support at Nextar - they said to return the unit. I could not. They told to talk to Navteq who said they do not deal with NExtar to call nextar
-   I have the same problem with nextar x3-03 it was given as a promotion for a time share ,one other thing I noticed was when i hook it up to my pc pc acted like I need drivers I'am using XP-   wamarles
Sounds like the tech support rep you talked to didn't even know his own device since the device uses Tele Atlas maps, not NAVTEQ. I'd call back asking to speak with a service manager who is more knowledgeable about returns/exchanges. As far as drivers go, those can be installed from the CD that came with the device
Solution #1 is incorrect. Just bought on of these units at K-Mart the other day. The X3-03 uses NAVTEQ maps, it's even mentioned in the owners manual. Plus there is no CD software that comes with the unit. Plugging the unit into any PC just makes the PC make connect and disconnect alert sounds repeatedly until the unit is unplugged from the USB port. It never even asks where the driver files are.
I to contacted Nextar through email and asked about updates to the unit and maps. This was their response:
