The reason for any blue screen error is the last installed software/application which create some errors in your system.Just uninstall that and the blue screen doesn't come anymore.

When i am trying to instaling win xp .getting a error message like stop 0x00000007B in a blue screen

hello Shameeralipk,

The most popular Blue Screen of Death error in Windows is the STOP 0x0000007B error, sometimes called the 0x7b error or the "INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE" BSOD.

This BSOD (which is actually the common name for a STOP Error) could mean that there's a serious hardware problem with a hard drive controller, a driver issue, or even a boot sector virus.

thansk.

Dell 5150 blue screen error Stop:ox0000007b (0xc0000034,0x00000000,0x00000000) doesn't allow safe mode

0x0000007b - INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE this means that the hard disk can't be accessed because there's a severely corrupted bootloader or registry file. The only way to reliably fix that is to reinstall Windows. If the problem returns quickly then the hard disk is about to die - replace it and reinstall one more time.

I am getting a stop 0x0000007b and it is not letting me do anything

When people have writen about this as extensively in the article below, you are best served by my posting the link for you.

If it looks like Greek and completely confusing, take your computer to someone who has a "boot disk" so they can fix it.

If we we're in Chat, I could work with you through options. That's just too much to do here in an answer.

Hello, My laptop will not start the windows set-up/Fresh Install scenario. after the drivers get loaded and says starting windows it goes to the BSOD error Stop 0x0000007B, I figure this to be a MBR virus...

In Figure 2-2 you can also see that the Windows service SPCMDCON.SYS has failed. From the BSOD, you should be able to gather the following information:
•The stop error number, which uniquely identifies the error
•The stop error parameters, which provide additional information relating to the specific stop error number
•Driver information is available if the source of the problem relates to drivers
Armed with this information, you are able to search online to establish the problem and hopefully a resolution.
In addition to the information available on the blue screen, if the system is able to be rebooted after the BSOD, either normally or using Safe Mode, it is useful to take a look in the System Event Log and view the error message. For example, a faulty driver during boot up usually has the stop error code STOP: 0x00000050 and an Error EventID of 1003.
If your system refuses to reboot successfully, or is trapped within a perpetual BSOD that restarts over and over again, you should take the following steps. Press F8 after the BIOS screen appears. From Advanced Boot Options, select Disable automatic restart on system failure, as shown in Figure 2-3. This allows you to read and make note of the information contained on the BSOD. You can then allow Windows to attempt a reboot. If the perpetual loop reoccurs, select another option, such as Safe Mode, from the Advanced Boot Options menu.

To disable the system from automatically rebooting, take the following steps:
1.Click Start, right-click Computer, and select Properties.
2.Click Advanced System Settings.
3.In the System Properties dialog box, click the Advanced tab. Under Startup and Recovery, click Settings.
4.In the System Failure box, clear the Automatically Restart check box.
These steps can also be configured if the system is booted in Safe Mode. There are over 300 unique stop codes, and most are quite rare. The full list
can be found on MSDN within the Bug Checks (Blue Screens) reference at

Error while trying to install windows xp Stop: 0x0000007B on a dell Optiplex sx270

In your case though, this is most likely one of 4 capacitors that are known to blow out on any SX270. Slide the bar at the back of your PC to the remove cover side and look inside for swollen caps. Remove the fans and cpu cover as well and check around there. Replace any bad ones you can find with old caps borrowed from an old motherboard if you have one, or new ones from any decent electronics parts warehouse. This fix has worked for me on every SX270 I have ever had.
