Welcome to Fixya, possible reason why the memory card doesn't read by your camera are memory card is not yet formatted,memory card is in write protection mode,memory card requires cleaning,memory card was damaged, memory card is not compatible.

Hi there please follow the steps and let me know the result.
1. Ensure batteries are fully charged & clean the battery connector point in side the battery compartment.
2. Look carefully between the lens and the camera body for any sand, dirt or any damaged etc.
3. Try turning the camera with the lens facing down and shake to dislodge anything stuck
4. Try removing batteries and memory card, wait 5 minutes and refit the battery only.
5. Now turn on camera( with out card ) and see ,if working then fix the memory card & again turn on the camera. If working then fine . Otherwise format the memory card and fix back in camera again & try. Make sure before format the memory card take a back up all photos in your computer then format. If no luck then reset or restore the camera setting by pressing Menu key for 2 sec .. in not done the press both Menu & self time key for 2 - 4 sec.

Hi there remove the card and and use the camera memory for photography. If you success then format the memory card from computer. Make sure there is no virus in your card or computer. After that fix it back and on the camera. I hope your problem will be solve. If your face the same problem in camera internal memory option then i suggest you visit service center for repair. Reinsert memory card in camera and try to format it. If that does not help then check with new memory card as old memory card could be defective.

Hi there, For few reason camera showing memory card error.
1. Memory card damaged.
2. your memory card finished is life time storage memory.
3 . virus infected.
4. If your memory card storage capacity more than camera support card then its also show to you. For example your camera support maximum 2 GB card, but your try to use more than 2 GB memory card.
I suggest your remove the memory card and scan by updated antivirus. After that, if not working then fomat it and try.

Hi there, please remove the card & check it's locked or unlocked. If unlocked and you face the problem then scan the card by updated antivirus. If your card virus infected then camera can't read the card. So what you do now, format the card and then fix it back in the camera. And try to on . Hope you no face the problem then. Another reason if your card finish his life longer working capacity then error also come in camera display.

The camera port only supports USB-equipped digital cameras that support Pict-Bridge. If you attach a USB device that is not compactible digital camera (or Bluetooth adaptor) to the camera port, an error message appears on the color graphics display. If you have an older HP-brand digital camera, try using the USB that came with the camera. PLug it into the USB port on the back of the HP-all-in-one and not into the camera port near the memory card slots, This works with HP digital cameras only.
By default, Windows XP will format a memory card of 8 MB or less and 64 MB more with the FAT32 format, Digital cameras and other devices use the FAT (FAT 16 or FAT 12) format and cannot operate with a FAT32 formatted card. Either format your memory card in your camera or select FAT format to format your memory card in a Windows XP PC.

You probably need to format the card in the camera. This will erase all the pictures so download them first.

Hello, Many times when someone fools with a memory card and the camera is on, it sort of backfires when the camera is trying to read or write data to the memory card. Error 10 might be attached to a fault in the memory card or system error. Try doing this first: remove you memory card when the camera is off. Remove you batteries so it can reset. Leave the batteries out for 30 secondsthen replace them. Use a brand new SD memory card and then turn on camera. Go to menu and format the new memory card and see if this helps. Good luck.
