Question about Hampton Bay 24002 Ceiling Fan
Turned the fan on "high"...after a moment, the blades slowed and eventually stopped completely. Cannot get the fan (or light) to work at all now. Checked the battery in the remote; it's ok. Dip switches match. All circuit breakers are in 'ON" position. What happened? How can it be repaired??

The CODE SWITCH RECEIVER should be located in the CANOPY (the bracket hanger). !!WARNING!! YOU ARE ENTERING A HIGH VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL ZONE!!
It will be tucked in among the electrical wiring and inside the hanger bracket.
Simply pull it out and you will see the CODE SWITCHES. There are 16 CODE combinations that can be used. Both the REMOTE and the RECEIVER MUST be set with the SAME CODE.
Good luck. :)

Try these two: 1) look for a small switch up near the light area on the dark-colored area of the fan. If a switch is there, then simply flip the switch to the other position; 2) if you have a remote control for the fan, the reverse mode may appear on the remote control. Hope this helps.
