Plug out the tv and let it stand for about an hour.then plug it back.If no response then have a tech look on your tv.The fault is in the video section of your tv.Good luck

Try cleaning the little fans that keep the bulb cool, the temp sensor will shut it off so not to damage the bulb , the winning sound may be the fan going bad or not working like it should.
Popping noises are not a good sign; I suspect the sound came from the catastrophic death of an electrolytic capacitor or worse, the death a a power semiconductor. Open the lower cabinet and using a good light, look for a smaller, separate board with fairly large parts on it; some cylindrical in shape, others block-like that may have copper wire showing. If, as common, this board is plugged with connectors into other parts of the system, you may be able to swap the failed board out for a replacement bought from a Mitsubishi service center.Expect to pay $100-$150 US if the set is no longer under warranty.
You will need the y and x sustain boards replaced, possibly the buffers. very expensive repair. you can replace one board but its best to do all of them.
Your tv is being attacked by electrical surges which seem very violent and has already damaged some logic controls. Please invest in a AC filter which will protect your tv from such spikes....... but first you need to get your tv serviced from the electrical damaged it has already suffered.
Thats the great sound of Exploding capacitors on either the power supply board. or another one in there. Now the set is in fault protection. It tried to warn you with the RED blinking LED that there was something amiss by shutting itself down. When you unplugged you reset the error and allowed it to do it again.
call 877-543-8325 this is an LG Executive call center and they will fix this for free. I have a 50" plasma I bought january 2006 which is out of warranty by 5 months. They faxed me and the LG repair shop a 30 day warranty for my tv to cover the repair. Just tell them you heard a pop and in my case the picture is distorted. All they need is the model number and serial number and they should take care of it. No arguing needed.
Its two maybe three issues that your having trouble with. First thing is the convergence. That problem could be a cold solder connection on the convergence IC's or the Ic's have a thermal problem, as after they heat up they go bad. The second is the popping. This could be an issue with the rear channel Audio output Ic intermittanly shorting and shutting down the set, or it could be a bad ground around the picture tubes, or a leaky hi voltage block, or a second anode lead going to the picture tubes could be split. The other common problem with this set is the STR#### regulator IC in the power supply. Now unless your a tech you shouldnt attempt any of these repairs as there is very high voltage in this set and could cause great harm to you. seek the help of an authorized repair shop for Toshiba.
