XBOX problem Our XBOX seems to have learned how to make us frustrated, because it is very picky. When we try to oprn it, it blinks as if it is opening, but if there still is a disc in ther, it still reads it. When we push a paper clip into the emergency eject, it shuts itself. Wen we have it open, it continuosly tries to shut itself. When we press the eject button while it closes. it pauses and then keeps on closing. When it does work (1:1000...000 chance) It usually rejects it. Then the cucle starts all ofer. What is the nemisis, hardware or software?

    OK- typo fixes.

2nd line- ... try to open it...

    2nd-last- ...cycle starts all over.

I have put in a DVD drive (and power cable, temporarily) I knew worked, and it still sent the "close" signal.... But I will look into it. (BTW, I thought that was the problem. Just wasn't sure.)

The DVD drives go bad on those constantly. Getting a replacement should fix your issue. It's a very simple process to install that. There are 6 T15 screws on the bottom of the XBOX and 3 T10's holding the dvd drive in. Replacements are $20-30 on ebay.

My panosonic kx-tg6421 phone system suddenly lost all my phone numbers in the phonebook memory. I am frantic to get these numbers restored if possible and find out WHY DID THIS HAPPEN?? HELP, LINDA H

Linda,
I'm so sorry...how frustrating! If you happen to have a 2nd handset, are any redials or names stored in that one?

I wish I could give you hope on retrieving the data, but....... :-(

I found the phone's manual and the only thing I saw that could possibly cause this would be the darn batteries. Panasonic seems to be extremely picky about the types of batteries used and they even want you to wipe the contacts before installing and dont touch the ends of the batteries....like I said very picky. If there was a sudden loss in power or a surge, then that could be the reason.

Here's their manual.

And here is the info from panasonic. Sorry about your problem.

Some discs it says oprn tray wont resd it

Make sure the discs are clean, any fingerprints or smudge will cause problems, also any scratches will be a issue. Wash the disc's in luke warm water and dry with a soft towel, If you have scratched discs there is a disc repair kit you can buy, go to www.ebay.com and check it out.

Today I got home from school and decided I would play my Xbox 360, I haven't even turned it on in the last two months...When I turn it on, the fans briefly turn on to what is seems to be Max and then shut...

i think that is a power problem lights blinking (eletricity going out) can cause it. try unplugging power cords and plugging them back in if that doesn't work plug them into wall

Xbox one blinking red light.. 1 not 3,, first time i seen this, fixed many ps3 ylod,, is it the same fix? looking for help here or a good link on repair info

When you get one red light flashing on the ROL of your Xbox 360 console that's an indicator of a hardware problem with the console connection to one of the parts connected to it as the hard drive or cables.

So, first disconnect all power and AV cables from the back of your Xbox 360 console and also unplug the power cord from the wall socket, wait for a minute then reconnect them all back and try to turn on your Xbox 360 console once more.

If that doesn't work, it seems then to be a fault with your Xbox 360 hard drive so turn off the console again and remove the hard drive then turn on your Xbox 360 console without the hard drive, supposed then to work fine, it might be an intermittent issue and when you reconnect the hard drive your Xbox 360 will work fine all after, or it will just work fine without the hard drive so it will be then definitely a fault with your Xbox 360 hard drive so call Xbox 360 customer support to exchange the hard drive for you.

The Xbox 360 console might even keep giving you the same error code even after you remove the hard drive so it will then appear to be a fault with your Xbox 360 console not the hard drive & also in a case like this we need to contact Xbox 360 customer support to exchange the console.

Hi, I was wondering if someone could help me. I

Unfortunatly this does not sound like a simple cable fault, this sounds like a fault with the graphics processor unit(gpu) this is usually followed by E74 or rrod, when this does happen, and your console is less than 3 years old and has not been tampered with in any way:ie the case has not been opened, it is covered by microsofts 3 year warranty, you will need to visit www.xbox.com/support . If you want to have a go at fixing it yourself there are plenty of good guides on this site or on youtube or book a pro repair center.
Remember thumbs up if this helps.
