Question about ASUS P5PE-VM Motherboard
I am using asus p5pe vm motherboard after i formated my pc when i am going to install all the drivers from the cd provided by the mther board i am having problem to install sound driver when ever i run the set up i displays "driver not found reboot your system and then retry i rebooted then also the problem is same
Go to control panel/ sounds, speech, and audio devices/ sounds & audio devices/ click on the audio tab/ on default device; drop down box make sure if your using the system default sound device or if your own sound card that the correct one is choosen.Under MIDI if using default sound it can say Microsoft GS Waetable SW Synth. Make sure volumes are not muted. A good way to test your system sound device is to (staying on sounds and audio device properties box) go over to the "sounds" tab/ under sound scheme:/ drop down box pick "Windows Default"/ go down to "Progam events"/ click on any sound. Under that box you will see "Sounds". On the left of browse or under sounds somewhere you will see a small box with an arrow in it pointing left. This arrow has to be dark, not greyed out. If greyed out then you won't have sound, due either mostly to wrong sound driver or bad sound card. You may have to plug your own speakers into the system sound device plug. They will still use these settings. If still no sound go over to the "Hardware" tab at the end. Start only on the sound, video and game controllers. Click the first one and under that box will be "Device Properties". It will tell you the status of that device/driver. It also has a troubleshooting option and the properties option boxes where you will be able to change the drivers. Every sound problem I've ever come across has to do with not having the "Realtek AC'97 Audio driver. You can download this from the site. If you don't see it in the hardware tab try downloading and installing that one.....
