Labor time to replace long block 22r motor Toy pickup 1989

labor time, never seen that question ever.
that depends on tools?
and person (and number of persons, 2 is best)
and shop
and age of person. and his size.

RWD cars are easy.
for me with great tools
id say, 4 hours out and 4 in.
if drinking beer 2 times that or all weekend.
if shop charged flat rate , you will get screwed.

in a contest, id do it in 2 hours. 1 out, and 1in.
with powerful shop air tools. and bleeding knuckles.

cagey how you didnt post 1 quote.???

and not the rip.
i guess you never did this ever.?
and that you dont understand, FATE.
nor RUST.?
if all the bolts are rusted, it will take all week end.
sorry but that IS a FACT
if you work on cars, you learn fast, that simple things can be
near IMPOSSIBLE. ask any working guy.

dang that engine stud just snapped off.
etc.

Battery not chargeing when running and no battery light on dash at all starts when i charge but then runs flat

Could be one of three problems. Depending on the age of the battery it could just be on its way out and can't hold a charge very well, or the alternator could be on its last legs and only working half assed, or you would have an electrical component drawing down the battery wile the car is turned off. N The first two are easy to check, you can take your battery in anywhere to get it tested, along with the alternator can be tested by any mechanic. The third is not so easy to find. If you pull the terminals off of the battery one night then put them back on in the morning and the charge holds and the car starts then you have something drawing power wile the car is off. Then I say good luck, it's not easy to find the draw on the battery

I have a GE model# GSL22JFPJBS. I get a clicking noise from mother board, anywhere from 2-30 times before compresser will kick in any idears????????

sounds like a typical problem on the control board. a solder joint on the back of board would go bad. you will probably have to replace the board.

It could be the u-joints under load in the driveshaft. It will only get worse and more expensive to fix. But it will be cheaper than a lower unit. You might want to check the prop hubs before removing the outdrive and check for lube in gears. Milky is bad. Good luck..

I HAVE REPLACED AN ENGINE ON MY T595 USING THE OLD THROTTLE BODIES AND NOW THE ENGINE RUNS 2500 /3000 RPM ANY IDEAR HOW TO SLOW IT DOWN?

The most likely cause of this would be an air leak somewhere. Have a good look round (especialy around the throttle bodies) for anywhere the engine could be sucking air.

Your coolant system aint heating up like it should. Its your thermostat. You need to change it. its broke. There are four parts to your thermostat. You need to make sure that you get all four parts out. A thermostat costs about five bucks. Its an engine temp. regulator. If its broke your engine wont warm up at all. If it seizes shut, your engine will overheat. Your thermostat is broke. I Have the exact same car that I have been repairing for the last three months.

Approximately how much would it be to have the head gasket replaced/fixed on a 1995 Pontiac Firebird. Thank you

I did not even look to a shop when re-
placing my head gasket. Hourly labor
rates can go anywhere from $60 to
$100 or more. The job ticket for this
from the All Data service was 8 hours.

If you have the tools, its a weekend job
at home and not too difficult.
