It is likely that your system is powering on but it is not actually performing any functionality take out all your ram an place one stick into the first slot and try powering on your pc. if this does not work try another stick or preferably one you know works. if this does not solve your problem test out a different video card.

Monitor, keyboard and mouse not working HP Pavilon

Sounds like a component has gone bad on the computer. If you have a dedicated video card, I'd replace that first. Otherwise, it's likely the motherboard has gone bad and needs replaced. If this is the case, it's going to be just as expensive to replace the board as it would be to get a newer system.

I installed a new graphics card on an HP Mediacenter m7750n and to make it fit I had to move the Hauppage TV card from the second AGP slot to the third. The new graphics card works fine but the system now...

Hi there, sorry to hear you are having problems. Please only try one thing at a time and make some notes as we do this. Put things back as they were and make sure the sound works ok. This is because the sound is normally controlled by the motherboard on an additional sounds card and not by Hauppage TV cards. Please look at the back of the PC and let me know how many sets of jack sockets for the sound there are and where these are located.
Thanks, Phil

HP Pavillion m7750n has already had the hard drive replaced almost two years ago. The computer will be four in January. It stopped working about five months ago and I finally decided I had enough time to...

Either the disk is faulty or the the boot block is corrupted. If you have the operating system CD, you can try to reload it. Doing so will wipe out anything you have on the drive. If it reloads, you will be back in business. It the disk is faulty, the OS will not load.

You may want to take this computer into the Big Box store and have it evaluated before youtry to do this repair.

Im seeing shadow/double images of text, icons etc.even a system recovery has not helped.what is causing the problem?

Most probably you have a problem with the connection between your graphics adapter socket & your monitor. Check this connection & make sure it is not loose & that the cable connecting your computer to the monitor is not damaged or is not running very close to a source of electromagnetic interference.
