most likely a power supply issue, best to have a shop check it, one thing is that you should tell them upfront that you will not pay more than $150 its usually bad filters in P/S and it shouldnt be too expensive
The tv is going into protection shutdown. It will try to power up three times, but each time it tries, the microprocessor recognizes an overvoltage, or overcurrent draw, and after three attempts it will place the unit into protection shutdown. There can be many causes of this, but the most likely one is that there is a short circuit in the high voltage circuits. You probably have a shorted flyback and associated components.
That model is famous for bad flybacks that shut the set down and there is no warning they just quit working. If you need further info please let me know.
The d52w20 processor will shut the set down if it detect one of many problems. this processor generates an error log. technicains have computers that can read those errors. to help find out trouble.. common problems include bad horizont output. flyback and signal board. for the fact it comes on indicates to me power defection issues
