Question about Lands Phones

I have dropped my cell phone in the floor and although it wasn't a very long distance at all, I can't get it to turn back on. What damage can be caused by dropping it? Anything serious? Is there any way I could fix it by my self? I really need help. It would be great if you could give me some advice. Thank you.

It turned out that the problem was not because I dropped it at all. The problem was the phone itself. It was a little purple sony ericcson flip phone. That brand of phone was supposed to be a type that you have to keep taking the battery out constantly and putting it back in. They said the problem would just keep getting worse too. Luckily I had a 14 day trial so I got to return the phone and get another. Thank you for your help though.

Well you kinda said what the problem is, you severely damaged the phone when it was dropped, heck you wanted the newest model anyway, this is a good excuse.

I have a Uniden phone with Cable phone service. Sitting right beside the base set, I get the message that I am too far away. Solutions?


Unfortunately the Unidens have a problem with batteries. Leaving it on the base for a long time without discharging it can lower the lifespan of a battery.

But your problem is that the it lost connections with your service provider. Turn off everything by unplugging the power only from all the devices. Turn on just your cable phone service box first and give it 5 minutes to connect. Then power on the phone. If you still have issues, you need to contact your phone service provider to make sure the box is connection.

I dropped my Pantech Crux and it doesn't turn on although when I touch the screen it vibrates as if I touched a button.


Some phones are more durable then others depending on where it was dropped from and how hard of a surface the phone landed on. Unfortunately from your description, there isnt much that can be done. Most likely your phone landed the wrong way and it blew some circuitry in the phone. U can always try to take out the battery for a few minutes, replace it and try turning it back on. But this almost never fixes the problem. U most likely need a new phone.

Dropped cell phone that has a slidding qerty keyboard straightalk samsung can still make calls screens black and the phone seperated from the keyboard only connected by a plastic strip? Can i fix this...


Thank you for writing in regard to your concern about asking if there is a way for you to fix the screen of your phone as it appears black. Let me help you with this.
There might be a damage on the LCD scree of your phone already. The best thing that you can do is to bring your phone to the nearest service center and let them fixed it. It is delicate on your part to change the LCD screen on your own as it requires an expert to fix that. LCD screen migt be costly. But, it will fix your phones proble.

Dropped my phone and it wont turn on.


Your Phone is physically damaged.

Most likely, the mainboard is cracked, not to mention other components may be as well.

What you need to do is to call your service provider and order a new one.
If there is no evidence of "Physical Damage", then it is defective and they will replace it free of charge (they may charge you shipping), as long as it's still under warrantee/you have device insurance through your service provider (usually about $5 per mo.).

Or, if they (your service provider) will not replace it, they may offer you a credit toward another phone/device.

If it is "physically damaged" You will have to buy a new phone most likely.

your cellphone's screen might have got damaged or the screen might have got disconneted to the chip. you are recommeded to take you cellphone to Repair shop as this would not be possible to see through untill use it so.

LAND LINE TELEPHONES: Can you not assign a long distance carrier?


Yes you can have your phone set to local calls only.
You have to speak with your service provider and tell them you no longer wish to be able to call long distance from your house phone. but still want local calls only.

There are a bunch of ways to accomplish this.

FIRST. When you say you cant dial long distance. What happens when you do? Do you get an error tone from the phone system? Or do you get a recording saying you cant dial long distance?

If you get an error tone, there are still a few ways to make this happen, so report back.
