Have a Phaser 6110 MFP. When I scan a page using the ADF I get 3 color lines running vertically down the image. If I don't use the ADF, the page scans without the lines. What could be causing this?

There are some small spots on the "seal" glass. It is the 3/4 inch wide strip under the scanner, not the main glass. Clean that strip well, I suggest taking some rubbing alcohol and just a regular piece of paper, crumpled up. Use that to clean that strip vigorously.
That will take care of it.

Scrunched paper

How old is the printer? It sounds like the rubber rollers have gotten hard and no longer can pull the paper through the vertical as quickly as the tray rollers do. I had a similar problem with a LaserJet4 printer and I had to obtain a repair kit (available online) and replace the old parts. Hope this helped.

XEROX PHASER 6110 MFP REPLACE TRANSFER BELT MESSAGE

If you have replaced the Image Transfer Belt, and the printer still does not work, you will need to reset the counter. Xerox would not tell me how to do it, so I did some investigating.

1. Enter Service Mode by pressing [MENU] [#] [1] [9] [3] [4]
2. If you do not see the Tech Mode menu press the menu button again. (You need to enter the key sequence quickly.)
3. Select Tech Menu
4. Select DataSetup
5. Arrow to Clear Counts and press Enter
6. Enter Password 1934
7. Arrow to Transfer Belt and press Enter.

The display will show Clearing Counts and then return you to the Tech Menu. Press exit several times to exit the Tech Menu and then power cycle the printer.
