I have tried to pair my motorola hs810 with sony ericsson k800i. It will fine with receiving call but when there is a incoming call, instead of hearing the mp3 ringtone( which i have set for incoming call alert) over the headset, mono tone in the form of "too too" in heard. And also when i tried to play the mp3 songs stored in my phone, the music is heard over the phone speaker instead of from the headset even though the headset is already paired and connected with the phone. Please help . Thanks

Most blue tooth device manufactures use the power button to set your device to discovery mode, first you must turn the power to on for your blue tooth from your phone menu, then most manufactures use the power button to put the blue toooth device into discovery mode,by holding the power button down when you turn your device on holding it for 6 to 10 seconds, usually a solid light appears on your blue tooth device,it is now in discovery mode,on your phone menu there should be an add new or search devices, once you've clicked that it should discover your blue tooth device, then you will need a pin or pairing code,Most manufactures use a factory 4 digit pin pairing code the y are as follows 0000,1234,1111,or 9999, if you have done the steps correctly the menu will say connect, press conect and you should be connected..i hope this helps
Be sure the the headset in in 'Pairing' mode. When in pairing mode, the light should be flashing red and blue or have a steady blue.
The put most headsets in pairing mode, turn headset OFF, then hold the power button until it goes into pairing mode as discribed above.
Then you can discover it with your phone or PC. Pin (pass key) should be 0000 (4 Zeros) or try 1111, 1234, 9999
Go to this page, it will answer any question concerning the blueant .. including pairing to your phone .. activating your blueant etc http://www.blueant.com.au/index.phpalso gives you step by step instructions on codes, pairing etc
here the steps, first you have to open your BT to pairing mode by close your boom and hold the button untill the indicator light show(not flashing), when u see the light DO NOT release the button, open your boom the you can release the button after that open your phone bluetooth then choose search for device there should be your BT(HS810) on the list then pair it.
i'm not good in english but i'll try. i used h-700 which i think they are same, you have to close your boom(BT) first and and hold the call button for few secs then open the boom while the light is show(still push the button) then release the button then you open your phone and open bluetooth menu choose search for device, your bluetooth should appear on the list.
It may be that the phone does not play music through bluetooth and that it only plays through the earphones that come with the phone. The only way to find out is to read the documentation on the phone or try another bluetooth headset, really.
The headset cannot be faulty as it pairs correctly and it works with calls. Bluetooth headsets are not really intended for playing music as it drastically reduces battery life.
