Inter-Tel Phone

My message light is on & I have two messages, when I try to retrieve them, my display shows "Notify Is Unplugged"
What does this mean & how to I plug it back in?

Inter-Tel Axxess uses programming software specific to the version of software in the phone system. So, you need to know what software the system uses. If you do not already have the programming software... it's a huge hassle. The software is only available to Inter-Tel distributors.

You definitely need to have a local phone installation company come in and help you with this. Axxess system setup and programming is extremely complicated for someone that has not worked with it and it requires specific software to make program changes. If you know the company that installed (or services) the system you should call them.

Hi,

If you still have this phone I think I have the answer to your problem. Press the no. 9 key on your handset and then the no. 2 key - you should then hear your message. Good luck Jacx

this can be resolved/password reset by using the Database Programming software provide to you from your phone system vendor.

My Uniden M/N:D1788-2 is not working correctly. It will only ring once before machine picks up & red light continues flashing.

Likely the two ring answer is "toll saver" You'll need to retrieve new messages. Once all new messages have been reviewed, it should return to the programmed number of rings, see "ring time" in the manual.

ALL messages may be deleted as follows;
delete all messages With the phone in standby, press Delete; press Delete again to confirm.


If answering system messages have been retrieved, a continuing flashing indicator could be your voice mail service;

Contact your voice mail provider for information. • When you have new messages, the display shows a message icon. After you listen to your messages, the message icon turns off. TG 9201 IS UNPLUGGED

Does this phone system have a central server? If so I would go check to see that it has power and came back up after the power outage. A lot of phone servers are on a battery backup and when the power goes out the software tells the server to shut down and then the UPS powers off.

My phone display shows the message: Warning! Major Alarm. Is my phone no good, do I need to replace it?

The major alarm is a message sent for the system to the admin phone. it can be anything from a power reset to a clocking issue with the CPU card.To reset the warning press the Spcl button then 019.Keep an eye on the warning codes to see if it re-appears.

Seems to be a key mapping problem

I have a pretty good guess.... someone may have intercomed her phone from another station and then pressed the MSG key. This would leave an intercom message and should light up the message waiting light. Then when you press the MSG button you are returning the intercom call. If nobody ever answers the intercom call the return message will not be completed and it will continue to try and return the call whenever you press the button. SO... if this is the case you just need to have someone answer the other phone that is being called and it should start working the way you are used to again.
