Hi june1245,

I.E means Inlet Error, this shows because your dishwasher is not getting enough water through in a specific time frame (varies on model) - Make sure of the following first:

- Is the Inlet hose kinked in any way? (This could lead to low water pressure to the solenoid) Un-kink it.
- Is the Inlet hose filter (Found when unscrewing the hose form the inlet on the machine) dirty? Clean it.
- Is the tap completely open? (Low pressure)
- Has your home gone under any plumbing alterations? (This could have also caused low water pressure - Too little water)

If all of these come back OK, and it still gives the same problem, I'd suggest replacing the inlet valve (Found on the opposite side of the inlet pipe - inside your Dishwasher), could also be a pressure switch (Found at the bottom of your Dishwasher - accessible from the bottom).

This should solve any problems.

Kind Regards :-)

Error code 1E

That is actually a IE code, as in " Inlet Error". You need to take the left side panel off to view the little paddle wheel which should spin when the unit fills, thus counting the amount of water entering the dishwasher. It is enclosed in a somewhat translucent plastic. Also, if water is not filling, or filling slowly, check the inlet screen on the water valve, located behind the front lower panel, by removing the elbow fitting where the water enters the dishwasher. If all these things are OK, you might need to check this out: (from my tips and tricks)

If you are getting a IE or similar error on your LG dishwasher and have not been able to solve the problem using information based on that code, check the serial number of the dishwasher. If the first three numbers are between 501 and 702 you may have this problem:

The black mastic sound insulation material inside the dishwasher door can soften from the heat inside the dishwasher, allowing the wires inside the door to become embedded in it. If this has happened, the insulation on the wires can soften and begin to dissolve, resulting in shorted or broken wires. This may cause various error codes2_bing.gif which may send you on a wild goose chase.

Take the screws out of the door and inspect the black insulation and the wires. If any wires are embedded in the black mastic, you may cut them and bypass them with a new section of wire, then make sure to add an insulating material to separate the wires from contacting the black mastic. In severe cases, the inner door panel must be replaced (they no longer use that type of mastic) and the wiring harness for the dishwasher would also be replaced. (a set of all the wires and plugs).

LG dishwasher error code E1

E1 is a code that the dishwasher displays after detecting a leak. There is a sensor on the pan at the very bottom of the unit. Take the bottom front panel off, look under the unit at the hose coming off the pump and your fill line to be sure no water is dripping. Run the unit in a wash cycle while doing this if possible.

Error code OE; dishwasher stops with error message 2 min into cycle, drainage seems OK, water doesn't appear to pump into machine - any advice?

Hi,
The most common cause of an OE error code on a modern LG dishwasher is:
1. Blocked drain hose
2. Obstruction in the sump area (beneath the filter, which needs to be removed to check for onstruction)
3. Failing drain motor.
else you need to REPLACE THE PCB POWER CONTROL BOARD
Good Luck!!!

I have a lg dishwasher ld-14aw1over flow

On an LG LD-14AW1, three is a float sensor on the left hand side of the dishwasher, behing the water outlet port.
It is the sensor that tells the dishwasher to stop filling just before the wash or rinse cycle begins.
A service call is needed or post back here is you want help replacing it.

LG Dishwasher

Had a similiar problem I tried reducing water pressure from water inlet (external to dishwasher) and this worked to a certain degree, although may result in being unable to fill, if you turn down too far. Water silencer (try plumbing stores) was fitted between mains and dishwasher and this fixed the problem.<!-- from fixya rte -->

LG DISHWASHER LD-1204W1

Try turning your tap off a bit till the noise stops but the dishwasher still fills, it can just be due to a bit too much pressure on your water valve.

EI error code.

e1 on any LG d/w means the water pressure is insufficient due to the wash motor being faulty and /or the capacitor connected to it.

take care.
