Question about Mitsuba DV5 Digital Camera

Transfering from camera to computer

I have a Mitsuba DV9002, I downloaded the software that came with the camera. When I hook the camera to the computer, it is telling me that the usb drive isn't working propertly. I know that it works fine because when I attached something else to it, the usb works fine. I am running windows vista, I can't find any drivers for vista. Could you help
Thanks

I am having the same problem with windows xp. Are you talking about connecting the camera to another device, or connecting another device to your USB port?

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS AND VIDEOS TO A COMPUTER
If your photos and videos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.

I have a coolpix p2 digital camera and I just want to know how I hook up my digital camera to my computer because the instruction book that I have is in spanish. can you please help

You can download the user manual (English) from:
http://www.nikonusa.com/pdf/manuals/coolpix/P1P2_en.pdf

The following is taken from the manual (page 61):
"Using the UC-E6 USB cable and PictureProject software provided with your camera,
you can transfer photographs and movies to a computer and view them. Before
images can be transferred (copied) to your computer, PictureProject must be
installed. For information on installing PictureProject, see the Quick Start Guide
and the PictureProject Reference Manual (on CD).
You can transfer images to a computer using a wireless LAN and play back the
pictures on computer. See "Wireless Transfer Mode" (c132) for more information."

Or you can use the Windows XP software. Step by step instructions on downloading and installing the software is given in the following website:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/digitalphotography/takeit/transfer.mspx

When i hook my coolpix s60 to my ubs cord to my computer i dont have a folder to upload my pictures on my computer (nothing pops up)...what do i download to upload my pictures

What software are you using now? You can download the latest version of Nikon Transfer from http://support.nikontech.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/61

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive.

In addition to Nikon Transfer there are plenty of other photo catalog software packages out there, some free, some not, that can transfer and catalog your pictures so you can quickly find pictures from Susie's birthday party, for example. Just do a google search for "photo catalog software".
