Hello, please check the power connector of your CPU fan and chassis fan. Or try to check you power supply maybe it can't supply anymore. But I guess it's the power connector.

How many power supply connections to the motherboard hp pavilion a 220n

Check your mainboard for power connectors.

The main one is a 20Pin some-times 24pin.
The next area to check is a 4Pin CPU power connector, which is loacted around the CPU socket. Top left of the board.

Take care!

When starting computer it surges on and off, If I keep turning it on and off it will eventually start up and run.

You've got some bad capacitors in the power supply.
Power supplies for PCs are cheap. Just replace it.
It would cost almost as much for the parts and shipping as it will to buy a power supply.
Take the old one with you into the shop you purchase the new one at to ensure your new power supply has all the right connectors on it, and that it has enough connectors.
If you are completely unsure how to replace the power supply, have the computer shop do it. Most places will charge a very nominal fee for this ($10 to $25).
The power supply itself shouldn't cost more than about $35.

Laptop died suddenly and is not charging

Take the battery out and discharge the capacitors by holding down the power button for 15 seconds. plug in the charger without the battery in to see if you get a charge light. If you do, replace battery and plug in charger and power on laptop. If this does not work, you may have to pull the cmos battery for 15 minutes and try it again.

I have aproblem my pc worked but con't display check ram and remove griffic card but not display. help me at this time

You need to test each component in another known working system to make sure they are working. This includes the monitor. Also check the cable connections between the monitor and computer to make sure they are good.Check the power connections. Use another graphic card in the unit. and see if the motherboard is producing signal for the graphic's card.Try cleaning the connector for the graphic card with a brush and a small amount of contact cleaner.Brush the connector to clean out the dust and debris that may have accumulated in the connector. check the condition of the connector to make sure its making a good connection with the graphic card.Clean the graphic's card connections with contact cleaner. The only way to solve this problem is to isolate the bad component. The monitor, the graphic's card and the motherboard are all suspects. Also check the computer bios for a possibility of a wrong selection for the video output device.I hope this helps you with your problem.

Hp pavilion 764c wire diagrams

Take a picture of the inside of your computer and put it up on the website with the wire connectors that need to be connected. The connecting wires should be in four groups. 1. The power supply connectors. These connectors will supply power to to all the power using components not supplied power by the motherboard itself. 2 The connections to the other components in your system like the dvd/cd player and the harddrive and floppy drive.3. The motherboard connections for the case. The power switch connector andreset switchconnector. The power led and theharddrive activity light. The USB connector and the audio connector. The fan connections like the cpu fan and other fan only connectors found on the motherboard. The external fans ( Fans that need to be connected to the power supply). Most of these connections are labeled on the motherboard. The case connectors also should be labeled for the correct connection. The best way to find the answers to this hook-up, may be to call HP pavilion with your computer make and model number, motherboard model number including revisions number. Computer made by big manufacturers tend to have may revisions and the only way to make sure your are getting a correct hook-up to the motherboard is call them for assistance.Especially if the motherboard and case labels are not present or so small that they cannot be read.Hope this helps you with your problem.

Optiarc DVD Drive does not work anymore.

Try uninstalling the device in the Device Manager, then restart the computer. See if Windows redetects the device and reinstall it. Next, try accessing the BIOS and see if the BIOS sees it, and be sure its enabled there. If both of these options fail, open the machine and make sure that the drive has a working power connector attached. If the connector is bad, switch the power lead over to a working connector.

sounds like the battery may be bad. I would first suggest trying a replacement battery and see if it will charge if so problem solved; if however a replacement battery (that is known to be good) still does not work it is possible that your battery charger on your laptop has gone bad, which is possible but very rare.

My laptop will not charge!! the charger works, but it just wont charge my laptop!

most likely either a bad connector on the power cord or you've broken the motherboard connector. check the power cord with a volt meeter. if it comes up fine the i would recommend either contacting the manufacture or taking it to a reputable tech. if you are comfortable with doing it you can take the laptop apart and look at the connector with the laptop apart plug it in (CAREFULL IT COULD KILL YOU) and test the voltage after the connector wit the volt meeter. if it has power then most likely *********** board is dead. if it doesn't have power then you need to repair/replace the power connector.
