If it is saying insert simcard, then that means your card is not being detected at all. try to clean the sim card slot, especially the contact pins. is it original nokia or chinese N5310. also check your battery because it can also cause an insert sim problem.
well chinese phones have started coming with 1 yr warranty.. ny how try to get it replaced and i would suggest u should have checked it while purchasing bevoz it is chinese man.and now the repair of chinese sets is possible. so get it repaired. but try to get it replaced if possible
