How do I set ring tone on base unit to match handset

You didn't state the brand and model of your phone, but my vTech and Uniden phones only have ONE RING TONE on the base, and it can only be turned ON or OFF (and the volume is variable on the vTech).

you save your settings before performing IP Reset.

Web user interface programming, the set values made through Web user interface programming
remain effective, even if you perform IP Reset. To reset these settings to their factory defaults, perform
Reset Web Settings from the Web user interface again.

Red light indicating fone charging has not shut off for around 20 hours.

My Vtech 6.0 charging light only turns off when I remove a handset from the charger base. I have had these three set for two years and they work fine. I think that the red light is just to let you know that the charger is working, if you loose power, or unplug one of the base units there is no indication of a dead battery.

Phones stopped working. They only read

first step is to unplug all power and phone connections from the wall for all Vtech phones and bases.

Second, plug each set and base in the wall for power one at a time.

Go back to the basics and pair the handset with the base of the unit.

Do this for all sets one at a time.

Switching from pulse to tone dialing (there is no switch on the base unit)

hold the select button down a few seconds until you'll see a 'tn' on the readout. this sets it to tone. hold it down again and it will set back to 'Pu' for pulse. i figured this out by accident. the losers at vtech never answered my question.

KXTCD 440 es cannot reset the base unit

If your aerial icon is flashig you can't access to base options, all base options are saved in base EEPROM, you need to follow the registration process, but if registration process is not satisfactory, the problem could be that your RF handset unit is broken and you will need technical asistance, a lot of times only resoldering RF unit the problem is solved, if you have more handset in the same base you can cancel all registrations and to start again, but unfortunatly I think that you have a RF problem (maybe the handset fell to floor and now you have a bad or broken soldiering)

5808 drops call and starts searching for base

Got a wireless router? Change channels on the router off Ch6, the default channel and that may help your phone communication to the base station. I have had wireless phone customers lose their wifi when their phone rings, same frequency or intereference on that frequency.
