NO OS stated ?Operating system" we cant never ever guess that.
remove the battery , test the PC with
no battery?
does it run perfectly now ? yes/no.
if yes and not with battery then the battery is bad or not charged.
this is step 1. of a long process.... PCs are complex
I can not understand your post at all. (cept its power issue)
the full PCs model was not stated,
Is this LT mobile? or always on a desk.
I cant just know how you use a laptop ever.
on desk or in an airplane or at STARBUCK's is 3 different usages.
on a desk? Ill answer, the others are vastly more complex !
DESK bound 110 LT:
- turn off sleep and hibernate modes (CP + power settings)
- turn on , the same page, "laptop power button turns off PC":
- make sure the your software is from HP at your HP support page, we are NOT HP. here.
- keep the battery out, of the pc, charge it and park it so when need it not bad or dead. leave it out. run on AC power only.
- my wild guess is PC goes to sleep and sucks the battery dry as all do eventually or all do on weak /bad batteries. keep the AC power pack plugged in to wall power all the time. hint hint.
this PC is a very old COMPAQ
HP does not support this now, it's too old (why not upgrade)?
so to fix it , takes tedious steps.
my post above begins this process....
the one thing I cant unstand is this.
plug off? (what? is this)
