Have you tried removing the battery, running the power adapter as the direct power source and see if it starts?
if this still did not allow the computer to start, as in no boot power or response, you may want to go down to checking the status of the power port on the unit.

now if this seems too far and the computer somehow starts up to a BiOS info screen or the motherboard logo, just let us know so we will be able to provide further assistance.
