Your tv needs a software upgrade, check with the tv manf and see if they have one available, usually they have it online for free

How do i fix my tv

I had the exact same problem. Thought I could fix it by replacing the thermal fuse . . . no luck there. Problem continued. After tons ( I do mean tons) of research, I found the problem to be a temperature sensor. Makes total sense ! ! ! The tv is trying to come on, but the temperature sensor is bad, telling the tv that it is too hot to operate, so it turns itself off - only to try & come back on 30 secs or so later. Hard to fix unless you know your way around tv circuits. Took me bout 3 hrs total.

there are 2 tuners in a rear projection tv. maybe the main tuner is faulty or the tuner's associated circuit has problem. if there is no signal these tv are programmed to turn the power off/stand by.

Have a 6 month old 42" LG Plasma....already had it repaired once. The tv sometimes will turn on but has no picture or if it does have a picture, it lasts around 5-10 minutes and then nothing. Still...

I would definitely exchange it for another if it's still under warranty. If your having all these problems within the first six months, chances are you just got a lemon and the problems will persist in the future. You might consider upgrading to a better brand name. LG (Lucky Goldstar) is a
South Korean company that manufactures larger appliances, refridgerators, washers and dryers etc. Just a thought, another LG will probably do ya fine though, I would certainly exchange this one out if possible.
Good luck

I have a ProScan 80 series, 32 inch TV. I turned it off, and now it won't turn back on. nothing can make it power back up

I have had mine repaired for this exact problem several times. First it was 164589 + Filter Kit+Fuse 6.3A+IC3107; Parts $60 Labour $125. Next unknown repair $208; next 20787 diode+1000MF/50VDCfilter+10R resistor; total $247;
next 213985 tuner $305;
next 164874 diode+160085 diode+++; total $209
Etc. ad nauseum. A lemon from the start. Went out and bought a 52" plasma on sale for less than it was costing me for the darned repairs every 12-18 months.

Problem w60 inch using hdtv cable box

i know this problem, happened to me with the comcast Motorola HD receiver box. The key is with the setting in the cable box. Switch on the TV. Set the channel to normal tuner channel 3 or HD input. Turn off the cable HD box. Press the Menu Button on the Cable box or the remote. You should see a Menu. Use the cursor keys to navigate The default setup is also one of the option, Right click on your cursor keys acts like the computer keyboard enter key and applies the change. The default setup is 16:9, the shacking would happen if you have set the picture type to "PAN SCAN". change it to either 16:9 or 4:3 Letter Box. The shacking should stop. Hope it helps.
