You cannot restore software, as the registry entries would not be replaced, you need to reinstall using the original cd

If uve uninstalled the software the only way to restore it is by installing it again with the setup CD or DVD.

If u have deleted it to thje recycle bin then u can go to the recycle bin( whose icon u can find on ur desktop), find the file u have deleted there and restore it by right clicking it and pressing restore.

If u have deleted it using the Shift+ Del. key combination..............then it's gone......no chance of restoration as Shift+Del. wipes the file off ur hard disk

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Can I retreve something I deleted out of the recycle bin?

hello Ib520465 if you had deleted an item into the recycle bin, you only would have had to restore it, but since you removed the trash the process will become more complicated. you will need 3rd party software to retrieve it now. if not alot has happen since the removal of the crucial information than it might be saved with a free program. But if this program is unable to find or other wise retrieve your information than i will recommend this program. I have personally used both of these programs and i promise they do what they say. Cannot delete "System Volume Information" on extra drive

There is a free software title called ccleaner (a registry cleaner) that also gives you the option to delete system restore points. I would give that a shot.

Your friend probably deleted some much needed system files. You will probably have to restore your computer to a date before the "pc cleaning".

File on my computer got erased. I thought it was just a copy of he photos on my Kodak software but now an entire years worth of family photos come's up with lines through it. I don't know how to reconnect...

To avoid losing the file forever, do NOT save any more files on your computer until you can get software from Norton (or another company that makes Undelete software. This software finds and restores files that have been deleted. (Have you checked your Recycle bin to see if your computer just happened to put the deleted file there? If so, you're home free--the file can be easily restored.)

On the other hand, if it's been truly deleted. you have a chance of restoring it with Undelete software. Here's what happens: When a file is deleted, it doesn't really go away. Files are put in boxes called "clusters" and when the file is deleted, the computer puts a mark (such as a "$" sign telling the computer that that cluster or group of clusters can be used for future use. That's why it's so important that you don't ask your computer to file a new file so you avoid the computer possibly overwriting the new file over your old one. If the new file is short and there are several "open" clusters before your photo file, the new file will likely go into one of the sorter, earlier clusters first.

Best luck!
