After about 5 minutes from startup the status led bocomr flashing red for 4 minutes off and 4 minutes on. After about 1 minute the fan stops blowing and unit becomes ready to start. Dear sir,

This thing is repeating. So by stopping for 1 minute every 5 minutes I have been able to run it for nearly two hours. I did not tried more because this will reduce the life of the lamp. I have got soldering iron, DVM etc, but due to want of a service manual I did not try to repair the machine. So what I need is Service manual of NEC MT1050 and some guidance to use the maual.

Though my problem was not resolved, but I got the service manual from ravco which I did not get after many searches. Thank you

    Hello,

I am back again. With the service manual in hand, I opened the MT1050 lamp cover then front cover and top cover. Everything inside the projector seems to be OK. The only tempterature sensor I could locate is located on the main board and seems to be fine. I arranged for additional ventilation but the projector shuts down after 5 minutes and can only be started after one minute. I want to know whether there is any other temperature sensor or not.

    Regards

As a follow up to Benimur's post and if you are considering a DIY, the following might be of further help:

  • a cleaning of the inside with the use of a can of compressed air and a vacuum cleaner;
  • source of Service manual;
  • correct user's manual;
  • often the problem is heat related or sensor(s) erroneously reading false temperature;
  • to my knowledge the NEC MT1050 uses a JED T460 projector controller with several smaller PCBs for various sensors. A possible source of parts.
Cheers.

It seems power supply overheating problem (must be checked). Try to use an external ventilation to keep lower temperature and see if different result.

Hi.
Clean the dust around the lamp. Sometimes dust may interfere with the picture produced by the lamp and the cooling mechanism of the lamp. After you have cleaned, take the lamp out and put it back in, the lamp could be loose. Check for loose connections of wires aroud lamp. If the projector has a reset button, press that and see what happens. If all fails, you may need a new lamp or i would advise you let a technician have a look at it if its out of warranty. If you are familiar with electronics, you may wanna have a look at the board and check if the soldiering is still ok.

Hope this helps
Cheers

Hi,

Initially, pls check the filter and vent ports as well as the fan. Verify that tjhey are not clogged and that the fan is providing adequate ventilation. Should problem persist, try to locate a reset button if available and press on it. Alternately, unplug the unit from the mains for about 15 minutes to try and revert back to factory default.

If above fails, further diagnosis require familiarity with electronic components and circuitry, use of a DVM and a soldering iron. Pls post back if your are considering a DIY (do-it-yourself). Otherwise, perhaps your best bet would be to seek the services of a qualified professional.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back as requested, how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

No sound or picture. red timer light on. wd60735

Hi there,

This model as 3 LED indicator lights:

1) Power/Timer 2) Status 3) Lamp

If "STATUS" LED is blinking RED:

1) Internal Fan has stopped. These tv's require fans, to prevent overheating and causing damage.

If "STATUS" LED is solid RED:

1) Circuit failure (short)
2) Disconnected DVI cable, chassis to engine
3) No LAMP-EN signal from Engine to turn the lamp On.
4) Ballast UART communication problem.

If "LAMP" LED is solid RED:

1) Lamp Failure - Lamp failed to turn On.
2) Lamp is broken (e.g. burst or blown)
3) Lamp turns Off during P-ON

There is no data relating to TIMER LED being solid RED.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Scott

Dear Sir, I have a NEC LT 260 K Lcd projector. The lamp of the lcd was busted.I replaced it with a new lamp. After replacing the lamp the lamp is not lighting when projector is put ON, I think the...

the clicking sound hopefully is the high voltage trying to start the lamp, but for some reason there may be a connection problem between the lamp and the projector power supply.
take the lamp out.

look at the lamp and check that the 2 connecting plugs are ok.
then look inside the projector at the power sockets that connect to the lamp (when it's installed).
check that the pins are not damaged or pushed down too far to prevent the lamp plugs making a proper connection with the power sockets in the unit.

How to unlock motorola 3G A1000

Try this: Might work.

Connect the phone to a powered Clip. Phone display should give "USB cable connected" message.
Press UNLOCK button on the Clip.
Phone reloads. Within 5-10 seconds phone display gives "Waiting for PST" message.
Press 1 and 2 keys simultaneously in upper part of the handset. The phone enters boot mode (if you don't press these two keys during "Waiting for PST" message, the Clip will give red E/G led and you will have to start with step 1 again).
After 1 and 2 keys have been pressed E/G green led will blink and the phone reboots. Meanwhile E/G will give frequent green blinking and phone will turn on.
Do not disconnect cell phone from Smart-Clip while green led indicator blinks!
Green E/G led glows. The cell phone is unlocked.
Axxx/Exxx/Vxxx unlocking noteDon't unplug cable right after phone reboot, wait until E/G led stops blinking!

Never ever touch the printer while upgrading the firmware.
You now need to replace the formatter
  • DO NOT power cycle the printer or the PC during this process or the printer may become unstable and or unusable without further attention from HP . The firmware update can take up to 5 minutes to complete. Please be patient.
  • During the printer firmware update, the liquid crystal display (LCD) on the printer control panel will display "Printing Document" and will change to "Erasing". After a short while, the LCD display will change to "Programming". After a short while, the LCD will display "complete : )" and the "Ready" LED on the printer will be flashing. Panasonic large screen Model # PT-61LCX65

Here is the proceedure to replace the lamp and reset the lamp hours.
Lamp Replacement Procedure:
1. Press the POWER button to turn off the power.
2. Wait for about 1 minute until the cooling fan stops.
Note:
The lamp cooling fan will continue to operate for about 1
minute after the power is turned off. Do not unplug the AC
Cord from the outlet until the fan has stopped. Avoid
interrupting the power by using circuit breakers or switchable
power strips.
3. After the cooling fan has stopped, unplug the AC Cord from
the outlet.
Note:
Please wait more than one hour before replacing the lamp.
[ Forced cooling function ]
If you need to replace the lamp more urgently:
- The Projection display has a forced cooling feature.
After the POWER button is turned OFF, and during the
first minute of the normal cooling fan operation, press
the VOLUME UP button on the unit and CH UP key on
the remote at the same time for more than 5 seconds.
The cooling fan operates for about 10 minutes. (LAMP
LED will flash 5 times every 5 second and POWER LED
will flash red for 10 minutes.)
4. Remove the Front Cover Unit from the latches.
5. Turn the Knob to the left.
6. Pull the Lamp Cover out.
7. Loosen the Screw on the Lamp. Then, pull the Lamp.
Note:
Because the Lamp may still be hot, use caution when
handling.
8. Install the new Lamp, and tighten the Screw.
9. Install the Lamp Cover, and turn the Knob to the right.
10. Install the Front Cover Unit.
Lamp Time Reset Procedure:
Be sure to reset the Lamp time to "0" after replacing the new
Lamp.
1. Plug in the AC Cord, and turn on the power by pressing the
POWER button.
2. Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button on the unit and
the SPLIT key on the remote together for over 5 seconds
in power on condition.
When the reset is finished, the display will indicate that the lamp hrs have been reset to 0 and the LAMP LED goes out.
