A Place in Toronto, A-One Electronics, may have what you need. Many used remotes and new ones aswell. I was wondering if you have the service manual for that tv? I need the diagram for repairing the caps on the power supply. could you help me out?

Vizio Plasma HDTV not working, flashing static!

I would start looking for a new set, replacement parts for that set are pricey. Trust me, I just recycled a P50HDTV10A that had a busted screen. I couldn't believe what the parts sold for !!! I don't know your preference LCD or PLASMA, but prices have really come down. So if it's in you budget, treat yourself to a new TV !!! Whatever you do, don't just toss the old set in the trash, toss that puppy on Craigslist and If you can get $50-$70 for it, take the money and run !!!

Plasma options periodically flash on the screen and I don't know how to stop it

Look for any jammed buttons on the remote or on control panel. Remove batteries from remote and retry.

Panasonic Plasma TH-42PZ80U HDMI do not work after lightning storm

I don't have a solution, unfortunately, but your problem is nearly identical to mine. It even seems to have happened on the same date (7/27/12)! Do you live near Dener by chance? Anyway, we have Direct Tv, and ended up with 2 fried HD DVR boxes and 2 TVs on which the HDMI connections don't work after lightning hit close to our house on 7/27. Those boxes were replaced, as was part of the Direct TV dish. The only difference is, whereas on one TV component connections (red/white/yellow cables) allowed the TV to work normally, on the other (my 50 inch Panasonic Plasma TCP50S30) even the red/white/yellow cables did not work. Now I'm scouting the net for tips on what else to try before I possibly have the Panasonic looked at, which I am hedging on doing since I got it for only $600 new in the first place. Have you found out anything else since you posted this? Good luck to you...

How do i set up the old xbox to get online?

Unfortunately you won't be able to. Xbox has discontinued the original Xbox live and now only does Xbox 360 live. Im sorry about that. I wanted to play some games online too on my original Xbox but I was told they don't keep it up anymore. :(

Hitachi 55" plasma Director's Series

Replacing the front glass entails completely disassembling the entire TV. Your best bet is to look for a broken TV with a good front glass.

Alux 42inch plasma HDTV monitor where can I get the remote control for it or what kind of universal remote should I get if any?

First, always specify the model when asking a question.

Second, most of the time you can get away with pretty much any universal remote out there.

You may have all the functions you could have, but most of the time you'd be successful in having power on/off, volume, channel (if it has TV tuner) and, if you try different codes, maybe the MENU and/or INPUT buttons.

Which is pretty much all you may be needing anyway.

I was waching tv when the image became distorted and out of focus

This is a bad IC more than likely and it is a common problem of CRT Rear Projection television sets and the older they get the more common the problem becomes.
I'm assuming that it looks something like this:
captainhawk1.jpg

Obviously not all sets are the same so your mileage may vary on exactly what it looks like but this the result of of the IC going bad and since you'll have to have this repaired professionally and that's going to st you back at least $800. RP CRT's (and CRT's in general) are unfortunately archaic technology and repair shops don't do a whole lot of work with it anymore and they don't keep a whole lot of trained staff around to fix it. Also, again, this is an 7 year old RP CRT and this won't be the last thing to go bad on it.
Considering the age of the television and the cost to repair, it is far more cost effective to purchase a nice new Full 1080p HDTV. For the cost of fixing this set, you can get a Mitsubishi 60" DLP 1080p HDTV that's 3D ready, even. In 2009 my Panasonic RP HDTV from 2004 had the exact same issue and this is exactly what I did (got the 65"). Of course, the price of LCD's and Plasmas have gone down dramatically as well so that may be an option for you as well. Do some internet searches. TigerDirect is good, NewEgg is as well and keep an eye out for online retailers who offer free shipping. Go to Reseller Ratings and sign up for their newsletter where they'll provide with links for the hottest deals of the day from all around the web and most often they include free shipping.
Good luck! I hope this answers your question.

Three-digit code for prima tv for universal control

If you can't find it under prima look under legend
If not read your manual and depending on the remote you have a option for the remote to find the code by itself

Just have to follow the instuction in the remote user's guide in the place that says "Brand not listed"

Good Luck
