Hi,

The chain is part #623382 00 and can be purchased at toolpartsdirect.com for one place. I like this place as they ship quickly and aren't overpriced.

Use a 5/32" sized-file to sharpen the chain at 30°.

The correct size chain is a 3/8" pitch, gauge 0.043.

The brand Oregon offers these chains also. You might find one at your local outdoor equipment place or chainsaw place.

Hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate your vote. Thanks,

Handie Andie

How can you buy just the saw for the 8" 2 in 1 pole saw.

after looking at reviews written on

Robert

Tried chain saw. Working on limbs about 12 ft above ground.
First limb about 3 inches diameter, Oak. Worked fine.
Second limb same size. Cutter slip off branch could not stop the saw from hitting ground. Broke case where it attaches to pole.
No parts, and no way to repair it as company had no idea what kind of cement/glue I could use. So one branch cost me $120.00.

Like Robert my saw hit the ground and busted in the same spot (this will happen to you sooner or later) and you can not get repair parts, its now a door stop.
Pros: Easy To Use, Light Weight
Cons: Can Not Get Repair Parts
I am guessing you mean the entire cutting end of the saw too, I would get a new one either same model so you have a spare pole or find a another brand that definatly sells spare parts.
Ive never used a electric polesaw but have done alot of work with with longer petrol and shorter hydrolic polesaws, even top of the range they can be broken easily always keep the chain sharp, cut one branch at a time or small clumps on a hedge.
Commonly they get dropped cause they get really heavy extended a shoulder belt helps alot as do coffee breaks.
Or they get jammed in the branch being cut which can be really dangerous with a half cut branch, be ready to run.
Also never use from a ladder

I have a mac 435 2nd hand recently purchased can you tell me what size chain sharpener I require for it as don't have the Manueline.

SHARPING A CHAIN IS JUST A LITTLE HARDER THAN YOU MAY THINK, A PROPERLY SHARPENED CHAIN IS JUST PLAIN SAFER, BRING YOUR SAW TO YOUR LOCAL SAW SHOP AND ASK THEM HOW TO DO IT YOURSELF AND BUY THE FILES AND A SPARE CHAIN CUZ IT SOUNDS LIKE YOUR GOING TO NEED IT, YOU MUST THINK SAFETY THESE THINGS DON'T PLAY ! ASK ABOUT CHAPS GLOVES HEAD GEAR.. I GET FIRST DIBS ON YOUR SAW IF YOU CUT YOUR HEAD OFF.. PLEASE BE CARFARE .. JAY THE PUMP GUY IN LONGWOOD FL

Doesthis thing need oil or some other liquid type

The bar and chain require bar oil (only) to be placed in the capped tank. The motor itself is air cooled, and should be blown out with compressed air often to remove the accumulated sawdust. Make sure the chain is tightened just enough to prevent the lower part of the chain from drooping from the bar and can be turned by hand. Make sure to keep the chain teeth sharp by properly filing for best cutting. Test the chain oil pump operation by running the saw with the chain tip near a piece of cardboard--it should throw off a thin line of oil after a moment or two of running. Hope this helps!
