On the camera, usually behind a rubber cover will be a place for the connector wire that goes to a usb port on the computer. You can also take the memory chip out of the camera and put it in a reader slot if you have one. Check for disks and instructions, on the net if you have to. Just google your camera's name.

The best way to download pictures and videos from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures and videos from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files.

How to download video's from camera to pc to hear audio?

Hi Luv2cdk,
Its the same method you use to transfer images from camera to the computer.. there is nothing special that you need to do. Here is the method in short...
Ones you connect the camera to the computer's USB port, the computer would detect the camera and show the camera as a new drive under "My computer", then you can open the camera as any other normal folder and copy the files and paste them in the location you want (generally My Pictures folder).
However Kodak captures video files in quicktime format so make sure that you open the files using quicktime.
Please let me know in case you face any issues.

Regards,
Srinivas.

Downloading the video to apple computer

Hi, I have the same camera :)
I use windows.
But I believe the procedure is same.
If using SD card reader in your laptop: Open the SD card and download the movie files.
This camera stores a thumbnail (which is a picture of the movie file) and a .mov (Quicktime movie) for each movie you click.
Here is the manual for the camera http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/DMCFZ7.PDF

Transferring video from a digital camera

I had a similar problem with my Canon Elura 100 camcorder when I tried to transfer the video. It turned out that my computer has some codex installed that was conflicting with the download of the video. So I went to another computer that I was sure had no codex files installed, and had no problem downloading the videos.

plug the camera into your pc once you have uninstalled the canon software as this will enable you to see the camera as an external hard disk and you will be able to copy your pic, vids and anything else on your cameras memory to your computer. here is a link to the manual http://software.canon-europe.com/files/soft24124/manual/A85_CUG_EN.pdf
