Hi,

Appreciate the direct "Ask Me".

To your concern, initially pls try:

  • remove the memory sticks;
  • clean both slots with a clean dry toothbrush/paintbrush. You could also use a can of compressed air or an electronic contact cleaner spray;
  • clean the little gold pins of the memory using a pencil eraser.
  • If the above is not sufficient to address the issue, pls try resetting your CMOS/BIOS to default condition.
This is of course assuming that there is no hardware fault.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

I'm using DG31pr motherboard with intel core2duo processor,, my pc is not starting when i restarted it... the red led is not turning on after restarting the pc & 3beep sounds are coming frm board and...

I think this is due to dust inside the PC

Try the following

  2. Take out the RAM and clean the RAM and the RAM slot and intall it back
  3. Clean the IDE connector that connects the Harddisk to the Motherboard
this should solve your problem

try resetting to bios defaults.
Also if your using dual-channel memory modules, ensure it,s enabled in the bios setup.

DG965RY board can not reboot with 'restart' button on windows Xp

Run with only two RAMS each in one of the DIMM slots. Three RAMS may not work unless supported by mobo or being exactly identical in their specs..

Hi - benimur

Pls check:
  • if CPU heatsink fan turning;
  • if heatsink is flat on CPU and tight;
  • if PSU exhaust fan turning;
  • if Video Card heatsink fan turning;
  • with a voltmeter, pls check consistency of the yellow and red wires (+12 and +5);
  • pls inspect capacitors near the CPU, none should be blistered, bulging are leaking;
  • remove the HDD connection and observe it will restart, if no, then probably a driver/software issue.

Still a problem

the blue screen flash and restard is actually a critical system message, but windows is set to restsrt the system on a system failure, if you want to read the message, start the computer and tap the "F8" key until a menu appears, one of the options will be "disable automatic restart on system failure" select this option and the next time it happens it will stay there.. but from what you are describing it is pretty evident you have bad ram, the long beeps you are hearing is the mainboard signalling a critical error, usually caused by ram, get new ram and i think you will have no problems

Various Corrupt Messages on Blue Screen (windows XP Pro SP2)

Hi, in my repair workshop I have seen this problem several times and almost always it is a problem with blown capacitors on the mobo. When you have the case open again inspect the capacitors, [they are the round objects grouped together in lots of 5/6 on your bourd] If any show signs of bulging at the top or leakage from the bottom, unfortunately its time to replace the mobo. This can be fixed but the labour cost will almost equal a new board. Goodluck mistyman
