I have a pentax ist DL digital SLR. The problem is that when you take a photo and try to review it the photo does not appear, it is just black. previously taken photos come up on the screen to review but...

Are you saying that on the same card, you are able to view other pictures you took but new pictures appear black? (or is this happening on different cards?)

Cant view photos on the big screen of my camera

I think you must have pressed the EVF/LCD button which changes the review area to inside the tiny view finder.. the EVF/LCD button is found on the back of the camera at the top left hand corner.. it is a little silver button. Hope that helps.. :)

LCD monitor is blank

Canon would have to fix this for you. The fault may be the screen itself, or the LCD viewfinder drive IC on the camera's circuit board. In this case they will replace the circuit board.

Blank screen

So you can see images that are on the card from previous taking but not new? Just to confirm - this is an optical SLR? With a mirror that flips up when you press the button - is that right? If so it souns like to mirror is not going up. Can you hear it go up? Come back
