I know that your supposed to hook up the pins on the right pins .the mother board does not have abriviations to show me were to hook the wires.where can i find a diagram to assist me to do this

n1996 is NOT the model number. ALL MSI boards are labeled n1996 - it's their C-Tick number. You need to find the actual model number which should be listed on a sticker near the main CPU socket. Search for that on msi's website.
