Drivers and software are available at this link. Be sure and download and install both the driver and the Toolbox program (under Software)>

go to http://welcome.hp.com/country/au/en/support.html?pageDisplay=drivers search for scanjet 2400, select operating system, and drivers are there.

you can enter the CAnon site and search for software. You ll find it for shure.

Here are drivers for the printer - download them (click 'Get'), plug the printer in and then install the drivers.

The thing that you need to do is go to the company site. Go to the company site that made the scanner to download the drivers. If they do not have a driver for XP then you are out of luck.
