There is a trim ring referenced in this article wandering how much force is required to remove the front screen to get inside to clean reflector glass. Unplug the set! Snap the trim ring off the front of the set and you may find a few screws or the front screen may just pop off. Then you can clean the screen and mirror. Be sure not to bump the color guns this will change the alignment of them. Be careful not to spill anything in the set. This is a relative easy fix.

Yellow, magenta, cyan dots appear on screen

I am not laughing but I would suggest if possible from the rear with a light first to see if any of the bugs are on the mirror at the rear of the set inside or the lens This set should have inside---look for that first---anything on the mirror or between it and the screen will be magnified and projected into the picture----it is possible to take a good photo and post it here as well.

I have seen this once before---had lots of little moving specs on screen of a Sony---they had several hundred knats inside flying around that were attracted to the light and warmth there.

Solution in that case actually involved use of Moth balls for a while in the area.

An insect has gotten inside the television and is throwing a shadow on the screen

This is not the easiest set to get into where you could clean out behind the screen. I would suggest having a technician look at it to save from damaging the TV.

Insects crawling up the mirror on the inside of the TV, ready to be killed.

there should be a cheaper solution. maybe look on the net for imformation on ants. you just have to convince them to leave! The tv when its on is warm. you need them to walk out of the tv as the could cause faults if they die in there.

You need to replace the two convergence Ics STK392-110 they are located on the small board up front. behind the speaker grille and access panel. You can get new ICs at the following link as well as free instructions on how to do the repair yourself and save several hundred dollars for a 30 minute repair. Here is the link.

Sony kp-65wv700

take the back off there should be a small rectangle with 6 buttons on it 3 for focus and 3 for the G2 (screens) some models have this control in the front behind the speaker grille behind an access panel and others have the control switch on the circuit board that is attav=ched to the crt neck. Either way its just a small switch much like a volume switch but smaller. Depending on what chassis you have it will be in one of the 3 areas I have mentioned. just turn it down a little. If that doesnt take the lines away you will need to trouble shoot the blue drive circuit.

Small bluish, black triangle at far right corner

This is the same problem as other posts have mentioned about the right side of the screen having a bluish-balck stripe down the side of the screen. Here's what's happening. There's a small light tunnel which has 4 very small mirrors located just behind the color wheel. The lamp shines light through the color wheel as it turns and the light goes through this small tunnel and is then relected off several mirrors before it is projected through the lens and onto the screen. Optoma apparently did not use a very good heat resistant expoxy glue when they assembled these mirrors and over time the mirrors drop down causing a shadow effect on the screen. It can be repaired without paying some repair shop a small fortune. Previous posts have a solution from another contributer whihc includes photos. I had to repair mine and it's worked fine since I used a decent expoxy to hold the mirrors.
