If you purchased an add-in wi-fi adapter, it should have come with a CD-ROM containing the necessary software.

You have to install the software that came with your WiFi adapter (or Laptop). But, If you own Windows7, the computer detects it automatically and therefore you dont need software.

I change the hard drive and put a new OS system on the laptop now i cant get the drivers for the sound and the network or the ethernet drivers

If you have a wireless network, install a wireless card in the PCMCIA slot (you can get one for about $20) Once installed you can access the internet fto download the other drivers.
If you do not have a wireless network, go to Pannerra Bread or another resturaunt that has free WifFi
