Question about Sanyo Katana SCP-6600 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

Phone fell out of pocket from about 15 feet up, won't power up

Just wondering if there is any point in getting a tech'n to repair it. At first I thought it was the battery (because my Dad has one too and I switched batteries and it wouldn't work in his) but even the good battery doesn't power up the phone. I assume from such a height, maybe there's no point, but thought I'd ask. There is no visible damage to the phone. Thanks, Sara

My phone fell out of my pocket at a height of 4 feet, now i cannot get it to power up only show the no battery symbol when plugged in. how do i get this phone working again?

I will assume that you removed the back cover ans re-seated the battery prior to asking this question. If that doesn't help, then you may as well send the phone in for repairs or plan to replace it. Electronics don't handle shocks (drops) well.

Razr phone just fell out of back pocket into toilet. I took of back cover & removed battery. What next?

Dry the phone, battery, sim card, etc. with cloth and wrap each piece, phone and accessories, in newspaper. Place a few handfuls of rice into a plastic bag and then place the wrapped phone in the bag with rice. The newspaper wrapping avoids direct contact of rice with your phone because the dust from the rice can get into the small areas of the phone. The newspaper and rice will absorb moisture. Leave it there (with the bag open) at least 24 hrs.

LG Dare - Short drop - unresponsive Dare!

1) Try removing the battery
2) wait 60 seconds
3) reinsert and power on
4) if problem is not resolved you need to get it in for warranty replacement.

If you are on verizon, you can walkin to any verizon store with a tech support dept and they may be able to exchange it onsite.

Hope this helps.

Fell in the floor and into the water

These kind of problem cannot be solved unless the phone is examined. Some part of the board might be short circuited due to the entry of water. You will have to give the phone to the authorised service center to get the stuff repaired. Thank you!
