When you can see the start bar right click on it goto properties

Make sure Lock the taskbar is ticked

Auto hide is unticked

Keep on top of other windows is ticked

hopefully this should solve this issue

Tip

Close All Windows Programs instantly

A cool tip to minimize and maximize all your active windows programs. You can do all using your mouse, but if you want to do this with keyboard then simply press Windows key+M to minimize all active programs and later maximize it using Windows key+Shift+M.
If you want to minimize the all active windows programs one by one then use the shortcut by pressing Alt+Space+N keys and sequentially maximize the active windows programs using shortcut Alt+Space+X keys.

How to make the taskbar reappear when it disappears in Windows

Sometimes on a computer running Windows, an application will crash or an unstable process will lock up the system, and out of nowhere the taskbar that runs across the bottom of the screen will disappear. The rest of the desktop and all of your icons will probably still be visible -- it's only the taskbar that is gone. Without the taskbar, you can't access the Start menu or view the open programs in your system notification tray.

To get your taskbar and Start menu back without shutting down your computer, hit <CTRL><ALT><Delete> and then (depending on the version of Windows that you are running) choose the appropriate option to open the Task Manager. (In Windows XP Professional, for example, there is a button labeled "Task Manager".) When the Task Manager window appears, select File from the menu bar and then from the drop down menu click on "New Task (Run)". Type "explorer.exe" into the text bar and hit <Enter>. Windows will sort of "reset" itself, and the taskbar and Start button will reappear. (This may take a minute.)

Whatever caused the system to become unstable in the first place could easily happen again, so at this point it's a good idea to save any unsaved data, close all open applications, and then shut down and reboot your computer. If the same problem happens again, make a note of which programs you were running when it occurred, as it may be a resource conflict or compatibility issue that's causing the problem.

My dextop wallpaper disappearing and turned black whatever i select. my system information- Mycrosoft Windows XP Professional Version 2002 ...

If you're using a .jpg file for your wallpaper you need Active Desktop turned on in order to use the file for your wallpaper.
Opening sysinfo disables Active Desktop temporarily.

Thanks

Shake your desktop free of clutter If you frequently run multiple programs simultaneously, your desktop can get extremely cluttered. This can get annoying if you're working on one program and want to minimize all the other windows -- in previous versions of Windows you had to minimize them individually.
With Windows 7's "shake" feature, though, you can minimize every window except the one in which you're currently working -- in a single step. Click and hold the title bar of the window you want to keep on the desktop; while still holding the title bar, shake it quickly back and forth until all of the other windows minimize to the taskbar. Then let go. To make them return, shake the title bar again.
You can accomplish the same thing by pressing the Window key-Home key combination -- although doing that is not nearly as much fun.

Press the windows key from the keyboard. It will help you to locate the task bar, then right click on the taskbar go to properties at the very top you will have three options uncheck the option that says auto hide the taskbar click on apply and ok.
That should do it, in case of any further help please reply back.

Hp director does not open when i click on the icon

Hi,

After installing (MS IE 7 or MS IE 8) browser on the computer that is connected to the HP product,This issue occurs on some HP products. The MS IE 7 or 8 browsers might be incompatible with HP Director
Follow these steps to use a workaround to open HP Director each time you use the software. These steps must be repeated each time you use HP Director.

1-Open HP Director using one of the following methods:
From the desktop : On your computer's desktop, look for the HP Director icon ( ), and then double-click it.
From the Windows taskbar : Click Start , click All Programs , click the HP or Hewlett-Packard folder, and then click HP Director .
Although HP Director does not appear to be open , it is open and loaded into the computer's memory, but it does not open in a new window as usual.
2-Without navigating to another open window, press Alt and Space bar at the same time.
The Shortcut menu displays near the top-left corner of the computer.
Figure 1: Shortcut menu

If the Shortcut menu does not open, repeat steps 1 and 2 until it does.
3-Select Minimize from the Shortcut menu.
HP Director displays (minimizes) as an item on the taskbar (the row of open software programs that appears at the bottom of the desktop screen).
If HP Director does not minimize, click Minimize again until it does.
4-Click the HP Director icon on the taskbar ( ). The software opens and functions normally. NOTE: The HP Director window and icons might appear larger than normal, but the software is functional.

5-Repeat Steps 1 through 4 every time you use HP Directo

Thanks,
