Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit system. My Compaq Touchscreen L2105tm works very responsively when system first booted but becomes noticeably sluggish to the touch over 15-20 minutes and usually does not respond at all to touch by approx 45 mins. Cycle restarts by unplugging and re-plugging USB cable. On rare occasions will work stably for hours. Have tried disconnecting ALL other USB devices to no avail. Thanks for any assistance.

Go there and try download the Drivers and Utility for the 64-bit Version of Vista. Pretty bad that HP's own website has the info you need, yet they say it won't work.

Take the computer to a qualified technician, who can replace the keyboard, as the least-expensive "try" at trouble-shooting.

Since a keyboard transmits "codes" to the motherboard,
e.g., left-shift-has-been-pressed, and left-shift-has-been-released,
and the motherboard interprets those codes, it is NOT likely that
the motherboard is misinterpreting the codes, especially given that
the "bad' letters are in a straight line on your keyboard.

Find an external USB keyboard, and plug it in.
If it works correctly in the first 15 minutes, then the problem is NOT the motherboard.

The notebook model you have is shipped with Cyberlink YouCam Software. Follow the below steps to get the webcam icon on desktop:
1. Click on Start, type Cyberlink YouCam Software in start search box. 2. You will get the Cyberlink YouCam Software listed in start menu search results. 3. Right click on the YouCam entry, select Send to and select Desktop (Create shortcut).
