computer does not recognize my player,it says driver for this device not installed

I have 2 problems 1): when plugged into the usb cable the battery light (yellow) will not light up, nor will it charge the battery. This problem showed up after problem #2); Windows media player said it could not delete my music from the mp3 player. Originally it showed only 3 songs on the syn page, but it was actually full. I listened to it for several days, now the charging problem has happened and when is syn, it says to connect a device (and the mp3 is plugged into the usb port.

Eclipse MP3 Player- Wont charge. I plug it in and it shows the hourglass then it will show a computer connecting/connected to a battery but it will not charge

People on other posts said to get a wall charger and that'll work. We looked for one, but couldn't find one. We ended up using a usb camera upload cord that had the same connector. It charged just fine after that. We have a 180 Eclipse mp3 player...I'm guessing the cord connectors are pretty universal.

My computer doesn't reconize my mp3

check if your usb cord if defective.

To check if the mp3 is recognized by the computer go to device manager in the compuer properties.

Go to device manager go to hardware tab and search for new hardware, if you see a question mark in the usb port it means that the computer cant recognize it and you may need a driver. Some mp3 have cd installer of its software. Install it in your computer. and try if the computer can recognize it.

also check if your usb port is working properly...

Wont read

There might be a problem with your USB cable, such as a broken wire, and not the MP3 player itself.
