You can drill a small hole to the top of the cartridge so that the ink dropper can fit, just a few drops is needed, it is better to put less then more else it will ooze out and make a mess on the paper and in the printer. Remember to reseal the holes with the supplied plugs. I have found sealing with scotch tape is just as good.
