Digital signal I have a Protron PLTV 3250 and I have it hooked to Dish Network. What do I have to do to get Digital TV. When I change the coax from analog to digital on the TV I get a no signal on a blue screen. I have tried to change from TV to DTV on the remote with no change. I would appreciate your help and thank you. Stan

which Dish Receiver do u have. if it is a Dual Tuner (322,625,622, 722) u run a RG6 Coax from the Dish to the back of the Receiver. on back of the receiver there should be two ports (Dish 1,, and Dish2) u will need two short pieces of coax and a Separator ,(which should have come with the Receiver. u hook the coax from the outside Dish to the single port of the Separator , now u run a coax (or RCA or what ever) to the TV. Turn on TV and Receiver.
on the Dish remote u hit the Menu button and hit #6 then #1 and #1 again (wait for each screen to change ) u should see a signal bar at the bottom. U will need to get someone to turn the dish a little at a time till u get a signal. once u get a strong signal u hit the Check Switch and let it program.
This sounds like the issue is with your TV set not with the DISH receiver. If this is a TV issue you'll want to call the manufacturer. If this is an issue with the DISH receiver e-mail me at [email protected] and we can get this resolved!
Original remote is hard to come by, try EBAY, without orignal remote you may nat be able to access all the on screen setup functions. Watch out for the power supply module to go out on this TV.
THE BEST INPUT ON YOUR SET IS THE HDMI INPUT.2ND THE COMPOSITE INPUT. 3RD THE COMPONENT INPUT. AND 4TH THE ANTENNA INPUT. MOST DISH BOXES HAVE AT LEAST THE COMPONENT OUTPUT. YELLOW IS THE VIDEO AND RED AND WHITE FOR AUDIO. USE RCA CABLES TO GO FROM BOX TO LCD SET. ON THE DISH BOX YOU CAN GO FROM ANTENNA OUT TO THE CABLE OR ANTENNA IN ON THE LCD. SWITCH TV TO CHANNEL 3. AND TURN YOUR DISH BOX ON.
Standard RCA cables are fine to connect both units. If home theater and tv has Component Video (Green-Red-Blue) connections, you can get better video result.
protrom pltv-3250...goes to blue screen/no signal at least dozen times a day. frustrating!!
