Question about Keyboards & Mice

Mouse problem bought 2 new mouses now for my lap top same problems with both so i think there is somat in my settings and not the mouses the control panel shows them working fine but the buttons work and the pointer does not move?

    Having the same problem with mine. The buttons work as well as the scroll feature but no pointer control

If you have the CD software program for your mouse reinstall it but first disconnect the mouse receiverfrom the USB port and than during install of the program it will ask you to connect the receiver to the USB port. Then do so and it should work.
Worth a try at this point. Hope it helps. Bud

I bought my lap top with a wireless mouse. It worked fine until two days ago. It will not do anything now.


Replace or recharge the batteries, if rechargable. Try to reestablish communication between the USB stick and the mouse using the buttons provided on both devices (see instructions).
If this can't help there is a problem that can't be fixed for a reasonable price and you should buy another mouse.

How can I use wireless keyboard+mouse on one USB port receiver


You probably have to use two different ones because those are two different devices and the computer recognizes them as such. Your best option would have been a wireless keyboard with a built in touchpad (just like on a laptop.) This option allows you to sit the wireless keyboard on your lap without needing a table (for the mouse.) Search ebay using the terms "wireless keyboard" and "touchpad" for the best prices.

There are a number of things that may be causing your problem.

The first thing I would check would be the batteries, with these units having a wireless connection if the batteries become weak they will transmit a weaker signal and thus make it harder for the unit to read. Battery life is variable depending on how often you use your keyboard and mouse, and how far away from the transmitter the keyboard and mouse sit.

Also because the units are wireless there may be interference coming from other wireless devices in your household. Some possible guilty devices maybe cordless phones, Wifi adapters, and even some remotes.

Also Have you installed the intellitype and Intellipoint software for your Mouse & Keyboard. If so you can use it to check your battery life/ signal strenth and set you mouse sensitivity and type repeat rate.

On the bottom of your keyboard & Mouse and on the top of the wireless transponder there are reset buttons. Pushing the transponder 1st and then either or both the mouse and keyboards buttons should resysnc them without the need for a reboot.

To determine whether the problem is related to the ports on the computer, use only the two cables that are included with the wireless desktop receiver, or the single cable that is included with a mouse.
USB keyboard and USB mouse loadTOCNode(3, 'moreinformation'); If the USB cable is currently connected to a USB hub, disconnect the device from the hub, and then connect it to a USB port on the computer. If your device is already connected to a USB port on the computer, try to connect the device to a different USB port if one is available.

Note Only one USB connection to the computer is required, even if your device has two USB plugs. If the problem persists, disconnect other USB devices and connect only the USB plug from the receiver to a USB port on the computer.
PS/2 devices loadTOCNode(3, 'moreinformation'); If your devices are connected to PS/2 ports on the computer, verify that you have the following configurations: • Verify that the USB plug for your mouse is connected to the green USB-to-PS/2 adapter and that this adapter is plugged in the mouse PS/2 port on the computer. If you are not sure which PS/2 port is the mouse PS/2 port, see the documentation that came with the computer. • Verify that the USB plug for the keyboard is connected to the purple USB-to-PS/2 adapter and that this adapter is plugged in the keyboard PS/2 port on the computer. The keyboard PS/2 port on the computer may also be purple. If you are not sure which PS/2 port is the keyboard PS/2 port, see the documentation that came with the computer.If you have to change your configuration, shut off the computer, make the changes, and then restart the computer. If your mouse or keyboard has both USB and PS/2 connections, try using the other connection.

Otherwise, go to the next step. 3. Press and release the Connect Channel button on the bottom of your mouse or keyboard. 4. Check the green light on the receiver. A steady green light means the synchronization was successful. If the problem persists, try steps 1 through 4 again.

Method 5: Clean the mouse lens loadTOCNode(2, 'moreinformation'); This problem may occur if you are using an optical or laser mouse and the lens on the mouse is dirty. To clean the lens of an optical or laser mouse, follow these steps: 1. Use a dry cloth to clean the bottom surface of the mouse. 2. Check to see whether the mouse functions correctly. 3. If you see dust on the bottom of the mouse, use a can of pressurized de-ionized air to blow away the dust on the lens. 4. Check to see whether the mouse functions correctly. 5. If the pressurized air canister is not available, blow dry air on the lenses by using your mouth one or two times. 6. Check to see whether the mouse functions correctly. 7. If these steps do not resolve the problem, use a cotton bud to clean the lens without scratching it.

Mouse not recognized/ mouse port not working


I kept hold about 30 seconds the blue light button on the USB controller device and it worked!. I guess that's the way to sinchronize both the mouse and the USB controller of the mouse. Ramón.
