TV won't turn on...

When I try to turn the TV on, it sounds like it is turning on but nothing shows up on the screen. Then after a minute or so it just shuts off. Any idea whats wrong??

Thanks

Have a Mitsubishi 65731. Bulb was getting dimmer and dimmer. Finally went out. Ordered a new replacement bulb (915P049010). Put new bulb in and turned TV on. Sound came on and after 10 or so seconds the picture came on. Then after a few seconds TV turned itself off and red status light comes on. Unplugged TV for a couple of minutes and replugged it in again. Status light flashed green for about a minute then went out. Tried to power TV back on again. Sound came on then after a few seconds picture came on. Then turned it self off again and red status light came on. I have another bulb on order just in case it is the bulb but am not convinced it is the bulb.

TV Sounds like it is powering up, then powering back down again. Does it maybe 3 or 4 times then the light turns off and nothing... I do hear sound when the cable box is on. The light stops blinking and becomes solid while it is trying to turn itself on. Tech said he had no idea what it was but since it is out of warranty, he guessed it would cost $400 or more to fix whatever the problem was. I am not sure if it is a capacitor problem because the people with that problem seem to just have a blinking light. Please help!

Talked to a tech and he said it was 3.3v and a 12v compasitor in the power supply that is a common problem with these large TV's from Mitsubishi. There are 4 of the 3.3v and 1 12v that need to be changed. He said it is a problem with about 5 different models. He also said that once these are changed out that you dont have the problem again. If this happens to you be sure to ask Mitsubishi if they intend to help with the repairs. they will review and probably help defray the cost since it is a common problem.

BLANK SCREEN..NO SOUND OR PICTURE ON MY SANYO 50" FLAT SCREEN TV...MODEL NO: DP52440 HOW DO I RESET IT

Try unplugging the set from its power source, let it sit for 10 minutes and then plug it in again, then turn it on. Are you getting any on-screen messages or logo display when you turn it on? Is there any backlighting showing? (in a dark room, the screen should have a faint glow). Try switching the input source using the remote. If the set is less than a year old, it is under warranty. If nothing is displayed ever on screen, the panel might need repair or replacement.

Emerson TV no picture, but still have sound

If this is an LCD TV, show a flash light (torch light) on the screen from a safe distance.
If you can see the picture, the backlight has gone off and might need
of a qualified service technician.
