your router may be blocking the port contact your network administrator. if you are the network admin please make sure the necessary ports are open to allow network access not all public WiFi location will let you use your psp on their network here is the Sony online manual for psp http://manuals.playstation.net/document/en/psp/current/network/index.html
Hi!At This Time :I use WPA PSK encryption simply because it is the only one i can work out how to set up and the PSP will not support this which is why i disable encryption while using it!But :i had that error. wut I did was (u can do this from in the game or in network settings) delete the one that should be working. did it all over again and this time I scanned for a connection. when I found my connection, I used it. and i redid the connection and it worked when I tried it again.Fix-sha0w
This is a problem more common with 3.71 Sony Firmware, instead of displaying the "No Access Points detected" it displays the message you are talking about, try updating your firmware and if that doesnt help you should take it into a store to be checked.
