Question about Sega Video Game Consoles & Games
It sounds like your bios battery is dead. There is a small watch type battery that is inside of all the systems. This battery powers a low voltage chip that hold constantly changing information, like the time and date. When this battery dies or is almost dead, this function of the system will no longer work or will act odd till the battery is totally dead.
So, in short, have this battery replaced. I hope this helps.
