RCA D52W20 Resetting Factory Setttings to Get Clear Picture

I have a RCA D52W20. The flyback went out and was fixed correctly. However, the settings are all out of whack and focus. Does anyone know how to get the correct factory settings, so the picture will look how it suppossed to. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

First, I'm no expert, just a retired navy electronics tech.

I BELIEVE that your model can have one of two different chassis. If you have the Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} ITC222 chassis, then look at http://home.austin.rr.com/doctorjoe/ITC222align.pdf

for the alignment instructions.

SAFETY NOTE: While you should not be touching any enegergized components while performing this procedure, you will be working in the presence of and right next to EXTREMELY HIGH and DANGEROUS VOLTAGES that can exceed 30,000 Volts. If you're not familar with the electrical safety precautions for this type of procedure, please have a technician perform this task.

That said, hope I helped and best of luck.

RCA D52w20 No picture

I dont believe that you need a new CRT. It sounds like you have a solder issue around the flyback, thats a common problem with the ITC222 chassis when the symptoms your describing are present. I would try resoldering the flyback and surrounding components and see if that doesnt correct your problem.

Rca 61 projection not powering on

what is the issue? The flyback is the transformer that generates the high voltage needed for the picture tubes. the itc222 rca chasis can have problems with flyback but they are notoruis to trouble shoot. if if it is you flyback then you will possible have other issue like the horizontal ouput transistor. I work with these alot here at the shop. what is set doing .. does the led flash .. give me some more information and lets see if we can fix this

Green light blinking 3 times....

If your model number is the D52W20 RCA the 259296 is the flyback that your model uses. They just dont list all the models that the 259296 uses. The 265409 is the same flyback but for GE models the mounting tabs are a little different but they are both the same elctrically but the 259296 is for the ITC222 chassis which is the D52W20. They dont have a link for flyback instructions what they do is sign you up for instant messageing when you order a flyback so they can explain the proceedure while youre doing the repair, as a flyback is simply unsolder the old and solder in the new. It takes only a few minutes to do the job.
