Question about Fuji FinePix S7000 Digital Camera
Last week I noticed when I turned on my Fujifilm Finepix S7000, the LCD was flickering all crazy like the tracking on a VCR gone crazy. Sometimes turning off and on gets rid of it, but then everything I see in the LCD (and eventually onto the actual picture) turns green and purple. Say you take a picture of your cat. Your cat would be a green smudge and the background would be purple. It seems more like some artistic filter I applied in Photoshop than an actual photograph.
So, some issues going on here. What's malfunctioning? How much can I expect to pay to fix? Is it worth fixing?
I'm sorry to tell you, your CCD its death, no human intenvention can fix it, you must replace it, when a CCD fails, it's literally death, you can not fix it, its a very delicated part, and the fail it's some kind of microscopic evaporation or filtration problem, I'm pretty sure that it has no fix. I spend the last year trying to fix mine, but with negative results.
