Hi Sk,
Horse, stock or utility trailers:

White = Ground - GD
Yellow = Left turn/Brake -LT
Green = Right turn Brake -RT
Brown = Tail and clearance lights - TM
Red or Black (not both) = Battery, aux power - A
Blue = Electric Brakes - S

Recreational Vehicle: (color, use, plug mark)
White = Ground - GD
Yellow = Not used -
Brown = Right turn Brake - RT
Green = Tail and clearance lights -TM
Black = Battery, aux power - A
Red = Left turn/Brake - LT
Blue = Electric Brakes - S

Ground should be 10ga.
Others 14 ga

That ought to do it,
Mike

Where can I find the power plug for this amp?

are you sure there is a power plug needed for the amp? very few amps require power plugs. you merely have to run wires to the power terminal. the power terminal should be labeled - pwr (b+), grnd, and rem.

Need a wiring diagram for alpine ktp445 amplifier to install on no alpine system

bassmekanic_3.jpg For this end of the plug: I would plug the other end of the KTP-445 directly into it and match the color of the wires off the other plug, remember to write them down, but most of the wires look like standard plug wires on most stereo plugs. When this is complete you should be able to snip this end off. Then wire it the wiring harness inside the dash (using the notes you took on the wire colors)

bassmekanic_4.jpg This end of the plug looks to have all the standard wires that most after market stereos have, clip this end off and wire it to the wiring harness on your current stereo. (You may not use all the wires, just tape them off because you probably won't need them anyway)

This is just my opinion on how it would be done, I have not tried this myself. But since most aftermarket stereos have the same kind of wire set up I do believe this could work.

If you decide to try it, please give some feedback so others can figure out how to do this also.

I have a fujitsu am/fm/cd/ tape player out of a 93 camry and would like to put it in a 95 camry but the color code for the wiring doesn't match and thats what I need , can you help Thanks John

Hello jrhauber,

The '93 and '95 Camry have identical color codes. Likewise, the vehicle harness connectors are the same.

Car Radio Constant 12V+ Wire: Blue/Yellow
Car Radio Ignition Switched 12V+ Wire: Gray
Car Radio Ground Wire: Brown
Car Stereo Illumination Wire: Green
Car Stereo Dimmer Wire: N/A
Car Stereo Antenna Trigger Wire: Black/Red
Car Stereo Amplifier Trigger Wire: N/A
Left Front Speaker Wire (+): Pink
Left Front Speaker Wire (-): Purple
Right Front Speaker Wire (+): Light Green
Right Front Speaker Wire (-): Blue
Left Rear Speaker Wire (+): Black
Left Rear Speaker Wire (-): Yellow
Right Rear Speaker Wire (+): Red
Right Rear Speaker Wire (-): White

You can purchase an aftermarket wiring harness that plugs into the OEM radio. The part number you need for a 1995 Camry is Metra 71-1761 available here for $9.99.

Hope this helps.

Rockwood detanater amp225 wiring harness

I'm guessing here, but power is usually a red, thick wire. seldom yellow ( old Pioneer)
Ground Is usually a thick black wire.
Amp turn on blue.(thin)
If it isn't, it ought to be.
If in doubt don't try it , check with a installer.
Fuse at battery!!!!!

Mount Car Audio

You can get an electrical schematic from a chassis manual for that model Camaro from Chevrolet, which will detail the pin-out (wire location on the multi-wire connector(s) that plug into the back of your radio); but it will cost about $100 or more. It would be easier to trace / detect the wires on your own. If you know how to use a test-light and can wire a radio to work temporarily, it will be a breeze. First identify the power source, which is usually red, the igniton feed is usually yellow or grey, the ground is usually black or brown. There will also be one wire leading to the radio from your dimmer, which you can identify by turning your dimmer switch to dim and bright while testing all the leads until you find the one that dims and brightend your test light. After nailing those down, the only thing left will be the five or six speaker leads. There will be one or two ground leads and four speaker leads (if the car has six or eight speakers, the extra ones are branched, which is sometimes obvious on the connector, because you'll see two leads attached to a single pin. If you need further instructons or run into another snag please let us know.

Hope this will FixYa!!!
