Possibly a weak or dead fuel pump. Try disconnecting the fuel line where it enters the fuel rail ( the metal tube that the injectors are attached to.) Have someone turn the key to the "RUN" position, (not "START") a few times and observe the fuel flow. If it appears weak, then you probably have a bad pump. Be sure to capture the fuel that spills out and DO NOT attempt this while the engine is hot. Altenatetively, you can have someone turn the key "ON" and off a few times while you listen for the humming sound of the pump at the fuel tank. But just because you can hear a humming sound doesn't always mean the pump is operating to capacity. If this doesn't help, reply bvack and we can go from there. Good luck!

4x4 diesel. Why can't doors be unlocked or locked?

their is a way to do it but recheck battery first sometimes the relearn process doesnt work or the fob itself is dead also if auto /remote start will need dealer to flash fob ---- 2002 santa fe and followed programming instructions and eventually was able to program the new remote. But, I did not realize I had to program my existing remote at the same time. Since, I have retried programming both remotes many times with no success--the new one works, but the old one won't. The instructions were: 1) Locate switch under dash, behind fuse box; 2) Turn ignition switch on, but don't start engine; 3) Wait 5 seconds, set memory switch to SET position; 4) Press remote LOCK button; press second remote transmitter LOCK button; 5) Set memory switch to OFF; 6) Switch ignition OFF. 7) Confirm programming by locking and unlocking vehicle.

I need instructions to program keyless entry remote for 2002 Hundai Santa Fe

For a 1994 to 2006 Sonata, a 2001 to 2006 Elantra, a 2000 to 2006 XG350 or a 2001 to 2006 Santa Fe, you will need to access alarm system control module. On most of those vehicles it is located on the driver's side fascia panel. But on the Sonata, the facia panel is in the center.

  • 2 Once you have found this module, you will want to ensure that the memory switch is in the OFF position. Then turn the ignition on.
  • 3 Wait 5 seconds and set the memory switch to SET position and then press the remote transmitter lock button to send the code to the alarm system control module.
  • 4 If you would like to program a second remote transmitter then you will need to press second remote transmitter lock button.
  • 5 Next set the memory switch to off, then turn the ignition off. You can confirm your programming by locking and unlocking the vehicle with both of the remotes. good luck my friend

BELT BROKE NEED TO KNOW HOW TO REPLACE BELT

First of all, the particular vehicle you describe (2003 Santa Fe) came with three different engines (the 2.4 (4 cyl), the 2.7 (6 Cyl) and the 3.5 (6 cyl). Which one is it? NOW!.. Which belt are you talking about?

Vuibration in floor trouble shifting hyundai santa fe

First of all, the clutch is unrelated to the timing belt. How many miles on the vehicle (more than 60,000?). If so, when did you have the timing & balance belt replaced (at or before 60,000 miles I hope). Without a proper diagnosis, it's impossible to help you here. Take/tow the vehicle into a Hyundai Service Center (dealership), pay the diagnostic fee. They will tell you EXACTLY what the problem is and what's needed to fix it (parts, labor, tax, time-frame, etc.).

Turning the key to start up

I had the same problem. Even If I left the cab light on while gassing up(with the car shut off), my battery would die.

Two things.Purchase voltage meter ($20 - $25) to test your battery output. It should read from 12 to 12.8 volts. Anything close to 10 amps or less, you should replace your battery. You can also run this check with an amp meter with cab probably be even cheaper. Another option is a battery charger with a built in amp meter. Just disconnect the cables and connect the battery charger. When you plug the charger into the wall it will should you a proper amp reading. Again, if it shows too low a reading you need a new battery. This comes from experience as I have a 2005 Santa Fe with the same problem.

The second thing is to take your vehicle to have the alternator checked. With older vehicles we used to start the car and disconnect the negative battery cable.( If you do this, DO NOT let the cable touch anything.Just hold it in your hand.) If the cars shuts off, the alternator isn't charging the battery properly.

*** NOTE*** I'm not sure if this is recommended for newer vehicles but it was an easy fix for older vehicles, a time and money saver for sure.

    Good Luck.
